*Cue dramatic music and sappy camera angles*
"Well Ma'am, I have some bad news."
"What do you mean, bad news?"
"Your test results...came back negative"
"Noo!"
*End scene*
I try not to be a hypochondriac, in fact I loathe doctor's appointments. The only reason I keep going back though is because for some reason the doctor can't find anything wrong with me. Let me rephrase that, the doctor's can't find anything wrong with me even though I know there's something wrong.
For the past year I have been going to the hospital to have my hands checked, two of my fingers have some sort of fungus on them that makes them look like they got pounded by a 2x4. The skin around the nails are peeling, the nail themselves are translucent, mottled and literally being lifted off the nailbed! Often times the fingers swell and it hurts to type. If it sounds disgusting it's because it is.
I've had doctor's tell me to my face that something was "odd", they clip the nails and send them in for testing promising to call me back. What happens? *insert crickets* They don't call me back! For some people this would be a godsend, but for me it's not, it means another month of walking around with freakish looking nails. I'm tired of it and when I go in today they better do something about it or else!
