I didn't think my husband had a home I thought he lived in a caravan like the rest of his family...BUT when I awoke I found that not only did he have a home, He had servants. There were a couple that were of our blood but most seemed to be gadje. I was completely in shock...In one day I had been married and met the first person with servants. I thought only kings had servants. That evening I wasnt feeling well. I had been queasy since waking at dusk. The servants gave me a new wine saying it would help me feel better. Oddly it did settle my stomach. I stayed in my room most the evening, but I could hear screams from the bottom of the house...I began to believe he had spirits haunting the place because there was no reason people would be screaming like that here...I had not seen my husband since dinner when I told him I was not feeling well. It did not seem odd for an arranged marriage to not see him, but there was so much I wanted to ask him...How could one of us have a house with servants and why did he pretend to live with the caravan....I was in awe and felt betrayed at the same time. As I was beginning to doze I thought I heard Karo whispering. Maybe it was just another dream.
