After three weeks of getting drug around by AT&T and Cingular, we finally got everything straight (hopefully)
But here's the summary of everything that went wrong.
The list is long... But I'll give it a shot.
Call up AT&T to start new service with cingular, (since they bought cingular in their big corporate take over)
Give us promo's, plan, and three phones that they say will be free.
We get the phones.
The phones suck... and apparently they are NOT free.
We want to send phones back and get different phones.
We're sorry, we only have three phones for you to choose from, and the phone you want -which you can get for $79 at Best Buy- you'll have to pay $300 with us.
We cancel account, in favor of another plan directly through cingular where we get the phones we want for free.
Cingular says we have no credit score, and thus, cannot start an account with them without paying $500 per phone.
Cancel that plan.
Go back to AT&T.
Can we just return our goddamned phones and buy are own from someone else?
No... you'd have to cancel everything.
We don't WANT to cancel everything!
Three hours later.
Oh! You mean 'return' you phones and then buy other phones from someone 'else'

oh yeah sure, no problem.
Be sure to return the phones with the shipping invoice you got with them.
Shipping invoice?
Yep.
You mean the strange nonsensical piece of paper we threw away three weeks ago?
Yep, that's the one. We can't take your phones back without it.
Two hours later.
Oh that piece of paper? Nah... you don't really need it.
