Never trust anyone whole-heartedly. Not your closest friends, not your families. There is not a single person on this planet who is beyond deception and treachery. They may love you, they may smile upon you, but never surrender your trust to them. That is not to say that you should not trust anyone, far from it. If you trust no one, speak to no one, beleive in no one, then you will assuredly die alone and be forgotten. Trust in those you love, who love you equally in return, but beware of those who flatter hollowly. Do not place your trust and faith entirely in any person, do not trust any one with everything you are. Doing so is simply opening the door for pain, anger, and hate. Do not trust someone untill you truely know them, and never assume you truely know them until they have surrendered their trust, and thusly their secrets, to you. I made the mistake of beleiveing I truely knew someone before this happened, and they are the reason I write this warning to you now. No one, not even those you beleive to be your clostest and most heart-felt friends, is beyond treachery. If you are not forever carefull, you will be betrayed and find a dagger in your back that has been placed there by your friend. There is a saying "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." This is true, and very good. Your enemies are the only ones you can trust with whole heart and whole faith. You can trust them to be hostile, you can trust them to be spiteful, you can trust them do act as you know they will with absolute certainty. In reality, you have nothing to fear from your enemies, for they are the enemies you are aware of. In reality, you have everything to fear from your enemies... but only the enemies who you beleive are your friends.
