I watched Lord of the Flies ,the 1990 version, and i thought it was weird that those children could turn into savages like that. though my history teacher told us about this experiment stanford held with a bunch of male students. they signed forms that said they stay in this basement for an amount of time. some of the students were assigned the role of prison guards and others prisoners. they had to wear realistic uniforms. they even gave the guards weapons. the first few day they laughed and screwed around, then the guards got in their roles. they beat the prisoners and treated them like sh**. the prisoners banged on the basement doors begging to be let out but since they signed those forms they couldnt leave. they ended the experiment early for medical reasons(the guards nearly killed them all)
