What started out as love
May turn into friendship
But not the usual kind of friends
But best friends, for life
As long as we keep talking
Your power over me grows
Till it shows
What ever you want
I give you
And it will reach the point
Of unguided trust
That I will be in danger
You are my shield from the world
Your memory protects me
From the reality
Of the fact, we’ll never
Meet again
I know you meant it
When you said you loved me
As did I, when I said it back
My heart aches for you
My hands burn to have
You in them
