An Alliance Is Born
Well, with that other story I was making, I decided to cut it off. My ideas for that have gone kaput and I feel like making a new story. Now then... let's see how to begin...

This is a story... About me, and how I met him, and how I ended up like this... But I am getting too ahead of myself. Let us begin with the beginning....

"Remember, gain his trust, then exterminate him."

That voice and those words rang inside her head as she walked down the streets. Her coppery hair blew gently in the wind, as did her leather armor skirt. Her dragon-scale shirt that lay underneath a steel-like breastplate shone in the sunlight, even though there was little. Her deep red cape floated behind her as her metal and leather boots walked down the street. She had a mission, and she needed to fulfill it. Her deep green eyes were shining hard with determination, and she stopped when she heard a clicking sound behind her.

"I know you can take these out on you own, but make it seem like you're in distress. He can't help but help a damsel in distress."

The words echoed in her mind as she drew her sword. The girl turned around to come face to face with a giant machine. It was obviously built for killing, with it's sharp clawed hands, and the old blood stains on it certainly helped that illusion. She blinked at it, then got herself into a ready position. The Tiger wasn't going to come if she didn't get hurt, but she wasn't going to make herself seem so weak that she couldn't put at least a scratch into it.

The machine leapt at her and she jumped back as the gravel went flying from it's landing. 'Heavy' she thought, and jumped towards it, her sword slashing across it's metal body. The sword didn't cut deep, but the cut was visible. She didn't reach the wires, so it didn't slow down, and it slammed it's flat foot into her, sending the girl flying backwards. She slammed into a wall, and fell to the ground, gasping for air. 'It's tougher than I thought... This must be a new model...' She wiped some blood from her cheek and got ready for another attack, wondering when he would come. The machine wasted no time in launching itself at her again, and she could do nothing but be thrown back behind it and come crashing to the ground.

'Damn... it's too tough... Why didn't they tell me it was going to be stronger than the last ones?' SHe had no time to be thinking about that now, though, as the machine came rampaging at her again. SHe felt helpless, but raised her sword in a defensive position, curling up as tight as she could. She felt pain shooting throughout her body as the machine slammed her against the wall. She growled and stood up. "Whatever... He's not coming, so I'm gonna kill i - EEEERGH!" she screamed in pain when her legs collapsed underneath her. She tried to stand up again, but she fell back down, pain flooding her legs as blood dripped from them. "Oh no...." she murmured, and looked up into the shiny red metal eye of the machine. SHe felt like screaming again, but her throat was locked.

THe machine raised an arm, and was about to slash into her, ending her life, when it suddenly stopped. She looked up into the now blank eye of the metal beast and was surprised. 'What happened? What made it die?' Pain filled her world again as she shifted her legs. SHe blinked and felt herself losing consciousness. She wasn't used to this much pain. Just before she lost consciousness, she saw a silhouette of someone. Someone with orange hair....

A hand, reaching out from the darkness. She didn't know what to do, she was afraid. Glowing red eyes watched her from everywhere, but she took the hand and a light shone. ANd with that light, she woke up.

First she could feel numb pain in her legs. Then she could smell something cooking. After that, her sense of hearing came back, and she could hear a fire crackling and someone rustling around somewhere near. Then she opened her eyes. What she saw was a dark night sky, sparkling with stars. THere were tall buildings framing the picture of peace, and the girl was taken aback by such beauty. Then she blinked to clear her head and tried to sit up.

It was easier than she thought it would be, as though her wounds had almost entirely cleared away. She still felt the numb pain, but she was able to move, so she figured it wasn't too bad. The girl looked around, trying to clear away the purple spots and see who the person was. All she could see was a head turned away from her with orange hair. She blinked, and he turned around.

It was him, the man she was supposed to find! The Raging Tiger was his nickname, the one he always went by. She gasped to herself. Did he save her? From what the stories said, he had dismantled the machines before. She gulped, and finally found her speech. He was smiling gently at her, and she found it difficult to find such a man would pose any threat to the Rooks. Finally, she said something. "Are you the Tiger?" she asked, and he smiled in the same gentle way and nodded.

"Yes. I am the Raging Tiger." He smiled again, then took out something from over the fire she had heard earlier. It looked to be food, but not like any the girl had ever tasted. He handed half of them to her, and began eating his half. She frowned at them and poked at them for a few seconds, then tasted one. It tasted strange, but then she had just tasted blood for a few minutes, so she was sure anything was gonna taste strange after that. So she popped them into her mouth, eating, glad she was hungry. As she licked her fingers clean, he began asking her questions. "Who are you? Why were you fighting one of the machines? Why was the machine after you?"

She laughing inside her head. 'He's like a little school child, always asking questions...' She smiled as politely as she could and answered the first two questions. "My name is Niina, and I was fighting that machine because it was after me, and wouldn't go away." She stopped before answering the last question. That one she couldn't tell the truth for. So she lied. "It was after me because I've been planning on attacking Rooks headquarters for some time, and they caught wind of me. That's why they sent that machine, to kill me..." She looked down at the ground, hoping that would help the illusion.

He frowned and sighed, then smiled brightly. "Well, Niina-san! You're under attack from the Rooks because you hate them, right?" She nodded. "And I'm famous for being a thief, right?" She nodded, but said, "WHat does that have to do with my problem?"

"I want to destroy the Rooks too." He said solemnly. "They destroyed my life, making it so that I had] to become a thief to survive." he looked up at her, his face serious. "Why don't we work together? Once you're healed, we can destroy the Rooks and get revenge!" His fist clenched and he growled, his reddish eyes fierce with determination. Niina glanced up at him, surprised by how determinded he was to destroy the Rooks.

She felt somewhat bad inside. She was going to kill him, or have him killed, and he would never know. She looked downwards, but put on a fake smile, which looked exactly real, and placed her hand upon his. "It's a deal." she said, "Tiger."

And so ends An Alliance Is Born. Stay tuned for the next chapter!

Oh, I never wrote a creative writing in five minutes. It was a full block, even if the creative writing was, like... three pages...
That block really hurt my hand. XP
