sailorxraven's journal thingy mijiger
this is probably most likely to be about sailor saturn from sailor moon
I feel sad just typing this
6day was really really fun. I made a lot of new friends and got many, many hugs blaugh
But not all of it was fun and laughter.... there were parts where it was just plain depressing, saying goodbye to the seniors (12th graders) for example....

I should probably explain a bit what 6day is. You see through out the year there are 5 EYCs (Episcopalian Youth Conferences) 2 JYCs (Junior Youth Conference, 6th grade through 9th grade) and 3 HYCs ( High schoolers Youth Conference 9th through 12th graders). There are quite a few differences to the two... but I don't have time to get into them, so I'll just give the basics of what they are. During an EYC Episcopalian youth from all over the state meet for a conference held at a different church each time, the conferences last about 1 and 2 halfs days (we arrive friday at 7ish pm and leave Sunday at noonish), 2 and 2 halfs days if your on council during winter HYC ( you leave noonish monday). The basics of EYCs are Small group ( you do stuff in a small group) very yummy food, host homes (as self explanatory as small group) singing, games, church related thing, and a whole lot of hugging (not kidding, during the peace you can't go 2 steps without being hugged). 6 day is like an EYC, except it's for people who were in HYC during the school year, and it's 6ish days .... (you come 4ish on wednesday and leave 11ish on tuesday.... except it's tradition to go to McDonald's afterwards so we really leave at 1:30 ish) not to mention it's run at a camp and like a camp. at 6 days friendships are made really really fast (each day is worth more then a month of making friends normally) but you can only be a 6day goer until the year you graduate high school (even if you have to go to high school the next year)... you can still staff it though of course. anyways back to the hardest and sadest part of 6day

.... On the last day we have a going away thing for the seniors where all the seniors stand in a circle in the middle of a larger circle formed by all the non-seniors, they get things that will help them with schoolerships for the collage they want to go to and the Bishop says a few words of goodbye and encoragement and at the end all the seniors face towereds everyone else and spin it the circle so that every one can
see them as we sing a song of good bye (I really can't remember the song very well all I remember is the "'till we meet again, I pray for you my friend" and something about your path being safe)... I tried to sing the song but I was crying pretty hard and could barely even mouth the words crying ... I was looking down clutching on to my water bottle (LOL inside joke blaugh ) and Yoshi... I couldn't even manage to look up at the seniors, and when I finally did I saw my friend Haley. she was crying before hand but when she saw how sad I was she started crying crying more, which made the rest of the seniors cry a bit more, which got the non-seniors crying more... and I was crying more.... pretty much everyone got a good cry crying I don't think I can continue without crying again... I miss them all so much crying gonk crying
