Uhm, this introduction is kind of long, but I do ask that those of you who stumble upon my page read it so that everything is cleared up about me and there will be no misconceptions. My name is Winter Laurel Stanley, but please call me Laurel and don't ask why I don't go by Winter, I honestly don't know. I don't care what anybody thinks so if you ever feel like telling your opinion of me, go ahead, it'll be a good laugh.
I'm a nice person, despite my cynicism and anti-social behavior, but if you get on my nerves, I'll really let you have it. Sometimes people mistake me for "being mean" but in reality, I am just a blunt, straight-forward person who will tell you like it is. I am a good listener to friends and give out good advice, but I'm not the type of person who will lie to you and tell you everything in the world is just fine. I'd like to think of myself as pretty outgoing but sometimes it might appear as though I am shy depending the people I'm around. Those of you whom I'm familiar with know how I REALLY can act, lmao.
I like to play video games, watch anime and movies, read (but do NOT think about mentioning a certain vampire book that begins with a T, I've about had it, sorry ladies), draw, and hang out with my friends. I guess pretty typical lazy teenage behavior. I don't like people who pose and do stupid stuff to get attention, so if you see me sneering at you, you know why.
I'll be friends with anyone and hang out with anyone I find agreeable, regardless of race, religion, style, or gender. And just to put it out there, I am not a religious person, but that is not to say I don't respect it, so I hope you will respect my beliefs as well. I don't need saving, I don't need to be converted, and I'm not "lost". I'm living just fine on my own. I'd like to think of myself as an intelligent individual and usually try to keep up with my studies but unfortunately procrastination and laziness can get in the way of that.
As for music, I like to listen to stuff that has a good beat and instrumentals ( I love string instruments) may that be rap, rock, opera, techno, and so on. Don't try to get me to listen to country though, living in the South sort of ruined that for me. Or any of those kids who think they can sing from the Disney Channel. Or, more recently, Nickelodeon (wtf??) I also hate labels. I don't like specific styles such as emo or scene, I dress how I want to dress. People who feel all victimized because other people find being emo ridiculous, get over it. Wusses. Well, that's about all I want to reveal. If you want to know more, ask me or something, I dunno.
