If you will. Tell Dakoda that he shouldn't buy Linkin Park's new album... It's worthless. (and if he wants to b***h to me about it, tell him to text me.)

I see.
Yeah that game is hell on the player. I've almost managed to beat the game. (maybe 12 of 16 bosses) Only to play it again, to get the rest of the trophies for it.

So troublesome... JK smile Just got through with Dakotas pm. Apparently, you to want me to do some programming. I do have to warn you that I don't know all that much. I know barely enough to make this work... all I need to be able to do is to view a program in raw code, and write a program on the computer without it crashing.

That's why you don't wear flipflops when shooting... or loose fitting clothing, as hot brass can go down a shirt quite easily.

That's good for your first time... if it is. I know how to shoot a rifle well, but no handguns yet.

And yeah, indoor ranges make everything sound loud. Were you wearing earmuffs/ earbuds?

I have no reservations against putting up the first results I get. And I won't argue that most of the time it feels like everything I do is an impulse- partially because if I weigh options I don't get anywhere. CRAZY INTUITION POWERS ACTIVATE!

Writing, and Literature in General

I love the written word. As simple as that. But I do not enjoy a lot of Authors, strangely.

I'm fond of the fantastical writing that borders the logical. Terry Pratchett and Steven Brust are the two that come to mind. Both highly different authors, both in my top favorites, and both able to make me laugh while giving serious thought to things they raise in a not so serious manner.
I see both the story and the analysis of the human mind and culture going on, and the way I perceive them, it is made obvious they have their own opinions, but easily give you room to make your own without feeling stifled. And then I burst into laughter because the Sapient Pearwood chest known simply as 'the Luggage' is back, or because a smart-a** psychically enabled winged reptile is jibbing the main character about how drunk he was.
Simply put, I suppose, it is that I like being able to draw my own conclusions while being entertained and whisked away to a fantasy world. I really don't like a lot of popular literature, but that is simply my own tastes. I'd rather pick up the 'too sensitive and outlandish for public schools' Kurt Vonnegut than almost any of the 'Fantasy' and 'Science Fiction' Authors around now. Or a new, excellent, and almost assuredly small career author who has trouble finding anyone willing to look at his manuscript because it 'might be too offensive'.
But those are merely my preferences. I don't like Stephenie Meyer or her writing style, it feels cut and dry, and I don't like how she develops characters. But that doesn't mean I hate her. I'll avoid reading her works and buying into the franchise it has spawned, but I'm not about to bash her. I've got nasty, scathing comments crawling around in my head, sure, but I'm not going to voice them. She got published. She hit the right target at the right time. I respect that luck, skill, and any combination of the aforementioned. I mean, at the same time I say those things about her, I'm thinking it about a lot of authors.

Behind the Username

I chose Abyss the Broken as my username over a year ago, though I've been on this site longer than this account lets on to.

Abyss is an entity in my writings, though I'm not going to explain more than that. Since I remodeled 'him' (I use gender loosely when referring to Abyss), and the entire universe 'he' deals in, I've not used 'him' or any others dealing with 'him' in roleplaying.
