Beep, beep, beep.
A slight pause of the alarm brought silence to the room. Wow, that sure was a nice sound. It was a rather awkward silence, but one you could relax to. The tranquility was soothing. Though, it wouldn't last very long...
BEEEEEEEP
"Damn alarm! Just die..." A voice was heard from under the covers. A very annoyed one to be certain. Oh, and why the hell was that alarm set in the first place? She struggled to find the alarm clock even when her head was burried in her pillow. Of course she couldn't find the clock, so she used the easiest alternative. Her hand balled up into a fist and hit her bedside table out of utter frustration. She heard a 'bang' and sounds of metal clanking as they hit the floor. Success, was the first word she thought of. Soon, a tuff of black hair emerged from the many layers of blankets. Her onyx, gray eyes could be seen if you looked close enough. Slowly, her eyes flickered open as the sunlight blinded her vision, she longed to get back into the security of her blanket. She took a quick glance at the floor and let out a tiny chuckle Hey, look at that! She broke the clock. Oh, and that was one expensive alarm clock. She raised up her fingers and tried to count something in her mind. Yes, that was the fifth one she broke. After a few moments, a girl of the age of fifteen emerged from beneath the covers. She pushed the blankets away and walked across her bedroom. She glanced back to her window as the sunlight gradually disappeared. And what did she see? Snow. White, frosty flakes fell from the sky, it was a pretty sight. It looked so gentle, the way the falkes fell. It soothed her in a way. But boy, it was cold. Her lips parted slowly and a small yawn escaped from the girl's pale lips. A start of a new day. Ah, and what a way to start it. Damn alarm, broken clock. What's going to be next? Well, at least she didn't fall off the bed today.
Oh yes. She practically fell of her bed during a few occassions. It was not a pleasant experience, mind you. It almost resulted in a tiny fracture on her leg. Those times she actually did fall, hurt so bad.
Kirika walked barefoot towards the bathroom. Even the floor was freezing. Heaving a sigh, she figured she needed to have a shower. A hot one. She took off her clothes, which were already crumpled from a rough night in bed. I finally get to take a shower! She turned the knob for hot water, and waited for something warm to come out of the shower head. Oh, and what was this? Cold, freezing water soon started to flow out from it. "Ah! It's cold." Her eyes widened once she felt the cold water. What kind of damned joke was this? Her lips parted to form a small frown on her face. Someone probably used up the last of the warm water. Typical. Cold water plus freezing weather, equals bad. You couldn't possibly take a freezing bath during winter time. Well, obviously. Come on, it was December. Why not have some warm water ready for all the people who live in this household. She immediately turned the knob in the other direction to stop the cold water from flowing.
Kirika walked out of the shower, dripping wet. She shivered until she managed to snatch a towel from a small hook that it hung from. Even though she was wrapped in a towel, it was cold. She needed to change, now. She grabbed clean undergarments and faded, black jeans which she paired up with a orange leather belt; a white sleeveless shirt, and a black jacket to keep her warm for the day. She zipped it up. Accessories? Well, she barely used any except for a few black bracelets to wear around her wrists. Putting a few on, she and headed for the bathroom once more. She needed to fix herself up. She tried to comb through her black, unruly hair, and groaned while trying to do so. It wasn't an easy job for someone like her. Afterwards, she brushed her teeth and looked at herself in the mirror. A decent appearance is what she saw.
She walked out the bathroom, and ran her fingers down the wall to turn off the lights. So who's making the breakfast today. Not me.. She thought. She didn't want anyone to complain to her when they didn't approve of her cooking. But you know, it didn't matter. She could just make use of things left in the fridge. She was about to walk out of her room but took a grey puffy hat out of her closet, and wore it. She also wanted to listen to some music. She rummaged through her messy drawers and found a CD case, and her walkman. She flew through it quickly, trying to find the disk she wanted. It took her some time, judging from the numerous disks found in that single case. Soon, she switched it on, and inserted the disk. The music blaring through her ears. Fidgeting with it for a while, she shoved her hands into her pockets and strode out of the room.
Time for a little brekky now. Kirika, who was distracted by her music, failed to notice Chika who was on the floor. If she did, she'd be full of concern, despite all the mishaps that happened to her this morning. She walked slowly towards the dining area, as she paced her steps. As she entered, she found someone else there. She walked in and took a closer look to find Yoshihiro. She saw the look in his eye and raised an eyebrow. "What are just sitting there for?" The girl walked over to the fridge and poured herself a glass of orange juice. She reached the cabinet and flung it open to reveal a box of empty cereal that was probably just dumped in there. Aside from that, there wasn't anything of use in the cabinet. It was empty. We need to do some grocery shopping. Afterwards, she sat down next to the kotatsu. She put her arms on the table and rested her head on her arms. She might as well go out for something to eat. Better than staying here starving. "Waiting for someone to make you breakfast?"
