Tis a poem I wrote about new parents and a brand new baby:
So soon she wakes from her sleep to a baby's far off cry, She gets up, and picks him up and kisses him goodnight. She lays him down, and silently she creeps back to her bed, When no sooner does she lay, she hears him cry again.
He's fussy and he's cranky and he is a tired boy. She goes over to the change table and picks him out a toy. But no, he does not want to play, insted he cries some more. She wishes that he would just stop, but his cries are all aroar.
Her Husband is now wondering why she is not back. so he comes out of the comfy room, to see if they were attacked. His child is so fussy, she hands him up to him. And before she walkes out through the door, she makes the lights go dim.
So her husband is just standing there, dased with a child in his arms. But then a sudden bolt of light, a noise like a million alarms.
He places the babe in his crib, and turns on his mobile. Then he flicks off the ceiling lamp, he hopes it'll help his child.
And it did the child is out, just like cold hard stone. Then he goes back to his room, met by his wife's soft tone.
How did you do it, she sleeply said as she turned into the wall. My dear, he said with eyes quite red, it was really quite the ball.
