-------- Tropical Dreams -------- Stacey Had just gotten out of a bad relationship with Blake. She couldn’t deal with all of the arguing and fighting over the simplest little things. With nowhere to go Stacey headed to Maryland to be with her family. They welcomed Stacey home with open arms and gave her a few weeks to get back on her feet. Staying with her family seemed strange because she had been living with Blake in Florida for so long. Stacey found a part time job that gave her enough money for gas in her car and to pay the bills to keep her parents happy. Stacey would stay up late on the Internet talking to her friend, from New Zealand, Ryan. Any more he was the only person she had to talk to. They could stay up all night talking about anything that crossed their minds. It seemed as if time stopped between these two. Stacey hated being alone and with out some one to love her. Ever since she was a teenager she always wanted someone to hold her and love her. She had always dreamed about having a fairy tale ending, but now she is 21 and doesn’t think that it will ever happen. Stacey let out a sigh. She knew that she could not hold on to that forever. True love was almost impossible to find. Living in a world full of daydreams and fantasies wouldn’t get her any where in life. Out of nowhere Ryan proposed something that would brighten all of Stacey’s cloudy days. He wanted her to come to New Zealand and stay with him. All she needed was a work visa, a job and she was all set. She wouldn’t have to worry about keeping her family happy. Stacey wasn’t sure; she had never been that far away from home. Then to add to things she had only talked to Ryan on the Internet. What if she got out there and they didn’t get along as well. Stacey had a lot to be afraid of. Stacey looked around her room. Everyone in the house was sleeping. She looked back at her laptop, took a deep breath and began typing her response. She hesitated to send the message but after she did she felt as if a huge burden was lifted from her shoulders. She told Ryan that she would go, all she needed was to tell her family and get enough money for a plane ticket. A few minutes passed before Ryan responded. To her surprise he sent here a web address for airplane ticket site. He told her that all he needed was her information and the date she wanted to fly over and the ticket was taken care of. Stacey didn’t know what to say then she asked Ryan if he was in a hurry to see her. It made her feel good knowing that some one cared about her. Stacey was beginning to think that love didn’t exist but this changed everything. Her and Ryan were really good friends but now she was wondering if there was something more there to be found.
