sakeko-chan In my own words:
-kun: Suffix used most often when addressing males and shows respect. Can also be used anywhere one wants to show utmost caring [especially to females], and to co-workers and such.
-chan: Suffix used when addressing kids. Shows that the particular person you're addressing is childish in a sense. Rather impolite to use on one who is older than you.
-san: Perhaps the most commonly used suffix when addressing both males and femals of all ages. Confers much respect. Following -san, is -sama.
Thanks Sakeko-san for the translation! Now i know how to use these words correctly! *howls*
