Chapter one Velvet detective
Bob walked into the bar and grill he owned and headed to the bar not bothering to go upstairs and change. He needed to have a drink and relax first having had a stressful week. He lit up a smoke before his first sip of alchohol and inhaled the dark exotic fumes of his imported cigarettes. He took off his tie and loosened up a few of his top buttons not being required to be formal in his off hours. Taking up a remote control he leaned back in the bar stool and switched channels mindlessly until he found a station he could half listen to. Cindy was on reporting the latest news but it did not seem as exciting as it usually was. Gaia was in a lull newswise and he kind of preffered it that way. He heard the doorbell but did not feel like answering it. Rina could do it if she was within hearing distance. He was busy with the unwinding. He finished his drink and started sucking on an ice cube to get the last bit of gin taste off of it. Rina yelled out "Oh BoOOoooOOb?" She sang out. "You have a package!" before she went out for a while. Bob's interest was roused. He dropped the ice cube back into the glass and went to investigate. He was not at all sure who sent him a package. He hadnt ordered anything other than the computer and he had already gotten that.
Bringing the package to his office he placed it on his desk and stared at it as if it were going to juggle. There was no return address or identifying marks so he was not able to tell who it might have been from. I minute later he was opening it with a pair of old metal scissors he had lying around. Inside was lots of foam popcorn and what looked like Ian's hat. "This looks like a real good copy. Maybe I can use this for cosplay" he thought as he started to place it on his head. It was then he had noticed an odd colored spot. It was reddish, almost like blood and on studying it further found it was. It had the same smell of iron so Bob's suspicious nature made him look further into the box. There was a photo of Ian, half his face and eye were bruised and he appeared to be laying on someones green velvet couch, unconcious.
Bob's hands started to tremble with rage and fear. He had to help Ian but where would he start? Their was no return address and he knew noone who had a tacky green velvet couch. Without a word he shoved the photo into his desk and put the hat in his closet. Putting on his coat he walked out, alone to skulk around for clues. The most logical thing to do would be to list out who hated Ian. Despite being in his fan club also Gino was at the top of his list. Who was to say if those were not his real feelings and not just his fathers? Liam was also on the list, he was a womanizer and possibly jealous of Ian for being more popular in general with the majority of Gaia. Could this investigation lead to the unveiling of the Sniper? With a careless flick of his wrist Bob lit the end of yet another cigarette with a blue chemical flame from his silver lighter. He had barely anything to go on save a photo but what he did know was that Ian was hurt and needed help.
Already his eyes felt tired and dead as he scanned around for something he could use. Maybe it was from the shock of seeing someone he deeply cared about in such a manner but he would be no good as the owner of Ian's fan club much less a friend if he allowed himself to let the emotions get to him. If he could only put all of his focus into solving this puzzle he might get something relevent done. "Thats right, just think of it as a puzzle so you can see the forest through the tree's". Little did Bob know was that while he was searching for clues, he was also being watched. Blonde wavy hair framed a cruel mask of a face that smiled sardonically down at the man.
So this was the man who was secretly in love with Ian. He would exploit that as much as he was able. Nothing would stop him from giving his only son the happiness that he rightfully deserved. Playing with him was so tempting but for now he would leave a small clue every now and then and see how far Bob would go with it. One by one each man would be out of the picture and his son would be with Sasha. He would not be around forever and wanted to make sure Gino would be taken care of before he died. Being a Gambino was not known for old age. They were however known for falling off of really tall buildings. Both his father and his grandfather had perished before they reached their fifties. He still remembered the terrible day his father fell off the Trump hotel and perished, the poor showgirl he landed on unable to break his fall. He would have to use his vast resources wisely. For now he headed back to the mansion to ask the cook for his favorite meal. He was a bit hungry and wanted to enjoy the obvious power he had over people.
Chapter Two The Plot thickens
The next morning Bob sat in front of his breakfast doing nothing but moving the fork every now and then. He felt frustrated and that this was a waste of time. All he wanted was a cup of coffee so he could go search for clues again but Saichen and Rina had made him sit down with them to eat amidst his protests. They did not know why he wanted to leave the Bar and Grill under their care today however having known him as long as they did wouldnt question him about it either. Looking up, he noticed the girls staring at him and uncomfortably he forced a couple of bites into his mouth to make them happy and to get them off his back. The sooner he could leave the sooner he could find out where Ian was.
When Bob was able to get away, he walked to Ian's store. This probably would be the best place to start. He studied the streets at all angles while standing out front. If Ian took a walk somewhere which way would he go? Aside from flipping a coin it seemed to be all up to guessing. "A bit of luck wouldnt hurt either" He said to himself and headed down yet another alleyway. His footsteps crunched along the broken pavement and broken glass scattered around. He bent sideways to look behind a half empty green dumpter. Despite its funky smell maybe it could help point him in a direction, as of now he had no idea where to even start but the fact that he was doing something made him feel useful. He was so focused on looking behind the dumpster he did not hear the crunch of another set of footsteps. When he did hear them it was too late. A hand grabbed at his mouth and wouldnt come off even with Bob struggling as much as he could. He felt himself shoved against the wall in an effort to make him stop struggling. Before everything went black he caught the scent of chlorophorm.
A few minutes later Bob was thrown onto a very old looking cot. Through his unconcious daze Bob groaned painfully. A mysterious man quickly tied the redheads limbs to the steel frame so he would not be able to escape when he woke up. A few feet away from this was a green velvet couch. a familiar "BWAH HA HA HA HA" was heard through the door as Edmund quietly double checked the ropes binding Bob to the bed. "Nothing personal kid, its just business." Without a further thought he strode out the door and joined his boss, Johnny K. Gambino in a rather intimate embrace and returned the passionate yet cold as ice kiss. "Our plan seems to be working out so far." Commented Edmund. Johnny threw him a rather irate glare and pulled away from the kiss. "what do you mean OUR plan?"
Edmund knew what was coming next and he braced himself for the momentary pain, Feeling the sting of his "punishment" He wanted to be used just as much as he wanted to use the Gambino. Their relationship being wholly devoted to lust and backstabbing. Edmund thought it was hot and it always did keep his blood on fire for the blonde statuesque man. The couple moved in closer and closer with the turmoiled passion they both shared. It was hot and bittersweet, Edmund knowing there was no meaning to the words of affection Johnny whispered into his ear but still wantonly submitting to him like a high priced call girl. With another heavy dominating kiss Edmund melted into his arms happily unaware that they were being spyed on. Two very loyal friends were planning on finishing what Johnny K. Gambino had started. Slowly the women moved away from the vent and tried not to make any gagging noise.
As they moved slowly through the air vent Rina signaled her apprehension at the thin sheet metal. It felt like any second they would fall but Saichen put a finger to her lips and shushed her.Elantis tried not to laugh. They couldnt afford to clue anyone in on their mission as if they failed that was it. This was not a game and their were no second chances in this game. When they reached the right place they jimmied the vent cover and spilled out into the room Ian and Bob were being kept. Both men were still unconscious however Ian was showing signs of coming out of it and regaining his senses.
His once handsome face battered and abused, bruises covered most of his head and one eye was swollen almost completely shut. Saichen and Rina knew they wouldnt be able to carry both of them so peeking outside found an unattended laundry cart. It was through this that they "maid" their escape. After struggling with the ropes around Bob's wrists Rina finally wrestled them free though she did consider leaving him tied up at one point . . . .and taking the cot he was tied onto. Saichen talked her out of it and informing her that it wouldnt fit in the cart. They unceremoniously dumped the boys into the cart and covered them with laundry then went down the elevator with Elantis as a lookout. It seemed while Edmund and Johnny were occupied their prey had escaped.
