"This way?"
"Nah...the other way."
"Really? We went that way yesterday and got lost..."
"No, that was the day before..."
"Okay, okay, we'll go that way."
"Wait, that's the other way now."
"What?"
"Nevermind..."
==========
My poor feet! Dx I'll show a bit of compassion for Adri's feet too, I suppose.
Tonight's trek, so far, has consisted of sinking sands, bogs that smell suspisciously of sewage, sudden ditches that lead to sharp, tearing brambles, and one large shadow that appeared to be mad armadillo.
Really. In the desert.
See what I mean by the phrase 'in the middle of nowhere'?
At least we can see the shadowy bulk of LO before us now. It just seems that we have a little problem...
"How do we get around this?"
"Erm...it's the fence, Adri. We do what we always do. Climb."
"But this side doesn't have the vines."
Usually, we arrive at any other place but the front door. Namely, the fence. But, as she has already stated, there are no vines. We cannot climb up the bare stone and mortar wall. Thus, our dilemna. =o
"Umm...Oh. Good point. Well...there's a rope right there." ^^;
"Really?" She goes to inspect the 'rope', giving it an experimental tug. It stays. Immediately, she begins to climb up at a rapid pace.
"HEY! Wait!" >.<
I grab on, scrambling up after her. We're both about midway up to where ever this rope leads when it suddenly slips.
Uh-oh.
Maybe a few more inches will do it.
I'm falling! I'm falling! I'M FALL--
"Erm...Snow?"
"Yeah?"
"We're gonna fall."
My mind blanks. We're gonna fall. o.o We're gonna fall and crack our heads open. And then no one will find us because this damn mansion is too big and all we'll do is feed the frickin' crows...
"NOOOOOOO!!!" DDDDDx
I had a funny image then. Wierd, how it's at these stupid times that you get the dumbest thoughts. I mean, how idiotic could we have looked, hanging on a rope on a wall in the middle of nowhere?
Not dumb at all. xD
Fortunately for us, someone hears our death cries. I barely have time to register anything before I feel myself yanked up. I find myself sprawled on something on the floor.
"Gerroff me."
"You gerroff me."
"Get off of us, Snow!"
Oh. I must have fallen on Adri...and Fae?
Certainly enough, she's peeling herself off the floor, a bottle of acrylic paint spilled across her face as she glares at us. Meh. It's just another bottle of that $560 stuff.
Right? >.< She only glares more fiercely.
We are roused out of our staring stupor by something clattering obnoxiously down the hall. All three of us turn and blink.
o.o?
Yunsi has ended up on top of Nerfe who as ended up on top of Sar who has ended up on top of her Green Monkeys who have landed on top of my omfg. MY omfg. >.<
What a sight to see. xPP It's silent for a moment, then...
"MY PAINTS!!!"
o.o Fae's gone ballistic. Again. Honestly, can't she care about more than her art supplies? >.< We almost died, you know.
"I sacrificed my paints to save your lives..." Dx
Oh.
"Er...Fae," Yunsi voices rather tentatively, but not without a trace of amusement in her voice, "Their lives are a bit valuable to LO, you know."
Fae gives her a look.
"Fae..." Sar warns.
"Yeah, you know, without them, no one would run your messages..." Nerfe adds.
Aw, thanks, guys. I knew you'd all stand up for us.
"They're expendable." She waves her paintbrush around and starts painting something on a rather bespattered peice of paper, ignoring us all.
Geesh. So much for that.
"C'mon," Adri mutters. "We don't wanna get in a paint war again. Remember that? Your hair turned orange." C:
>.> That's NOT funny.

Author's Notes:
Forgive my lack of humor. I am seriously pissed off at parents who think they know everything about my education when they can't even get concert band straight from marching band.
I HATE MATH!!! >.<
Damn it all to ********' hell.
I'll be happier with comments, though. C: I can't get mad at you guys, after all.
