This is a script for what I hope to be my next comic/graphic novel it is sort of a narrative. As the child stood amongst the ruins of what was once his home, he wept solemnly, bloodstained and soaked with rain pouring down from above he thought about the catastrophe that occurred the night before…
It was a cloudy day, peasants scrounging for food in the grounds around the castle, whilst nobleman walked amongst merchants trying to find suitable jewelry for their many wives, all this hustle and bustle seemed to fascinate the young prince as he stared out of his bedroom window. He continued this playful act for many hours never stopping even when the bishops asked for his presence with the king immediately, he just stared out at the open street until suddenly, a shooting star appeared. A shooting star in what was broad daylight? Confused the prince looked out the window again only to see more shooting stars! Thousands upon thousands of shooting stars poured from the sky all onto what appeared to be a second sun in the distance.
Already disturbed by this change of events the King Redcrosse sent 12 of his best warriors out to investigate this “second sun” and thus, the men marched on. Following the eerie glow of the second sun they stumble onto a most disturbing craft, it was the shape of a tennis ball about 15 feet tall with two spikes jutting out of the side probably to brace the landing, each spike was about 6 feet long. This craft even had a small oval sized window about two feet wide. Curious 3 of the 12 men appeared inside this strange window when all of a sudden what was the door burst forth in a strange explosion sending the three men flying. Out from this craft appeared a frightful sight a beast about 10 feet tall appearing almost human were it not for the face of a Mantis and a pair of Bat wings. Stepping out of the craft the beast shouted, “Rise my Brothers! Rise and strike down those who would oppose the Cluster!” It was at this same moment the 12 warriors were doomed all around them more of these strange crafts appeared, and they were surrounded. Then each craft opened revealing smaller versions of the great beast only each of the smaller ones didn’t have wings but bore blades on their right arm. “Massacre!” they all screeched as their bladed arms pierced the bodies of the warriors, and as the last warrior fell the great beast shouted “Kill them all leave not one Standing!”
“In the name of the Cluster!” the bladed beasts shouted as the thousands of them took off rampaging towards the town. Pouring over the hilltop flooding the mountains with darkness and a thirst for blood. The peasants and nobleman grabbed whatever household goods they could find, anything they could use for a weapon, lit cigarettes, Guns, even toilet bowl cleaners were grabbed in this preparation for war. As the men and women stood in the center of the town waiting for the oncoming onslaught on top of the mountain they never expected to be attacked from the sides, and It was at this moment that more of the bladed bugs jumped over 25 feet in the air over the thick walls protecting the village making contact with the villagers splashing blood everywhere. Men, Women, and even children not even old enough to hold a bottle much less a weapon were carelessly slaughtered. The prince seeing the action on the ground below turned around hoping to get away from the torment. Only to see another bug creature this time this creature even sported a scar on his right eye. About 15 feet tall barely tall enough to make it through the door to the princes room. Standing much like a gorilla with his front arms supporting his massive muscles and body. “It is time boy for a new ruler to arrive!” the massive creature said as he grabbed the prince with his massive hand. Pulling the prince up to his face he softly spoke “Don’t worry this’ll only hurt…” he stopped in mid-sentence as he grabbed the princes left arm with two large fingers “…A lot!” he yelled as like paper is torn he pulled the prince’s left arm clean off blood flooded the room as the massive beast tossed the prince into a concrete wall blacking him out instantly. The prince awoke to a gruesome sight the charred remains of what appeared to be a guard laying in front of him. It was then that the rain poured, revealing to him that the two floors of the castle had been completely obliterated probably from that massive bug. Still bleeding from bandages the guard probably gave him he stood amongst the ruins of his home and wept solomely bloodstained and soaked he thought about the disaster that had occurred the night before……………….. This is only a snippit of my hopefully upcoming book the Devil’s Charm Hope you liked it.
