[letter #10]
To the Oh-so-Humble Man Who Waves Newspaper from the Bridge:
Newspaper? Indeed, that must be something.
Well, I'll reply in order. If not, I'll confuse myself and leave too many things missing. Now, let's see.
Ah, the coffee stain. I suppose it makes a lot of sense. I would hate to have to pick up something that's touched the bottom of everyone's shoe, or at least, touched what's been on the bottom of everyone's foot. There'd probably be more than mud.
You seem to have the common conception formed by everyone else about news forecasters. I would agree with you, but I'm too lazy to make my own incorrect predictions and shall thus pretend to be on the good side of the forecasters. I suppose I could always predict the complete opposite of the forecast. Then I'd get sixty percent right rather than just forty. A twenty percent difference.
There was no need to ask about my health, although it makes me feel very well cared for. I'm perfectly fine. Not even a running nose or a cough. It did feel so very cozy to snuggle into bed after, though.
I shall make certain to look for a waving newspaper from the bridge if the sky decides to rain tomorrow. It will humor me greatly, to only see your arm and a newspaper. But we all try to stay as dry as possible, don't we? Showers don't usually go well with clothes.
I'm trying to enjoy the weather while it lasts. I have a small garden on my balcony, and I love to tend to it. I am such a horrid gardener, though. I feel rather sorry for my plants, because while I buy them and shower them with love, they seem to live such short lives. Maybe I shall go to the bookstore and find a few books to buy. Or those small outdoor booksales, maybe. I can stand there and choose a few books, then take my time reading them outside before I return home. In fact, I think I'll do it this weekend.
Well, the bed calls to me yet again. I am reminded that I have a particular chocolate muffin waiting for me, wrapped in a silver bow. Do you happen to know where it came from?
Yours Truly,
The Oh-so-Spoiled Woman that can Never Resist Her Bed
[author's notes]
Gah! No time for author's notes! Must go and fold the laundry. I think I might get to go clothes shopping too, taking advantage of back to school sales and all. Pft.
Back from shopping. Bought one green long sleeve shirt with a hood (those are so very rare now...I feel like I'm trying to dress to be a prude or something. Is it a sin to cover your arms?) and two shirts to layer under it, one which has pink and brown stars on a creamy background and the other with blue and green hearts on a creamy background as well. And a small tan jacket.
Thanks to yunsi for correcting my errors!!! <333 I need to proofread these things. At least I had an excuse this time. She'll have to become my official beta sooner or later.
But then, you're one of the only people who reads this, though. Ah well.
