"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me..."
The well known pirate "hymn" drifted mournfully across the deck.
Slidding down onto the deck, the girl pushed her hair up into a bun of sorts and slipped it into her hat, then scooped up the stay cat that kept the rats from overwhelming the ship.
He batted at the tail poking out of her skirt briefly, then scrambled up to the top of her head, lazily swaying as she stepped down into the ship.
"No land on the horizion, captain. Someone else take watch for a while, aye?"
"Aye, aye. Ye best be taking this time for a bit o' rest, Miss Crusades."
The girl smiles at the gruff older man, slipping into the room where the rest of crew was.
"I told you, call me Claire."
For this, I was aiming for my own pirate.
I put this together one day while looking though my items, and I think it works.
