Thousands of years ago giant spiders used to roam forests. Though with everything else being large, not as large as them, they didn't find there large size to be a problem. They used to be the size of buses or cars. Eventually as time went on they began getting smaller and smaller. This forced a change in the spiders causing them to shrink and change. They no longer started resembling giant arachnids but instead took on more humanoid shapes. This continued as time went on. Though they look more humanoid now they still have multiple eyes and limbs, fangs, and a tail capable of producing silk. These spiders're native to a specific forest that stretches fir miles and miles. The forest is deep enough that they rarely get outside visitors.
Jay has lived in the forest for a good chunk of his life. He's learned from other spiders how to make webs and catch prey. Though he recently started traveling he does miss his home. He enjoys lounging in his web, waiting for food to come wandering in or wandering around the forest. Though he also enjoys how readily available it is, restaurants and stuff, in cities or towns. He hasn't gone in but he's seen people eating something crunchy out of little bags, chips. He usually buys bugs at pet stores to munch on. He also enjoys the tall buildings and other places he can climb he's not fond of the warnings against it.
*Like most spiders he's an excellent climber and can build webs. *If he looses or severely breaks or injures his limbs he can replace them in the next molt. Jay molts once a year. During that time his skin becomes itchy before he molts much like a regular spider does. *Jay's eyes can actually look at different directions at the same time. *His fangs carry venom strong enough to paralyze a large dog. *He actually has III(3) pairs of arms. He usually keeps his last hidden to surprise people or unless he really needs it .
