⊹ 《24TH FEB, NIGHT》 It was yesterday that a priest had approached her.
He wanted to hire her for some... guarding duties. Extermination was a better word for it, in Kiaravell's opinion. Apparently, Jethryn had mentioned he knew of a Crusnik. a**. Though Kiaravell wasn't exactly a Crusnik, she'd lived out a few decades thinking she was one in the past. She can get the job done. And so began the Imperium's first night on the job. She would be staying at the church for a week or so. "Here you are, Black Angel." It had been a while since someone called her that. "This is your room. You are free to roam wherever you like."
And roam she did.
Back in the day, the religious groups regarded her with respect and awe. For the Black Angel, at least. Kiaravell couldn't say the same for these people. They looked at her with contempt. Some of them, a hint of fear. Perched up on the roof, Kiaravell could hear most of what was said below her.
"I thought Crusniks had white hair?" They did. "The priest says she'll only be here a while." That was true. "She doesn't look like an angel." Kiaravell smiled. She wasn't one, anyway.
Around midnight, as told by the priest, Kiaravell heard footsteps around her. They were heavy, unlike any vampire's. Piqued, she tracked the source down. What she ended up finding was a group of ten or more large and manlike creatures. They had fangs, yes, but they weren't vampires. No, she didn't know what they were. After taking care of them, Kiaravell went to inform the priest. He mentioned there being ten of these 'vampires'. She killed all ten. On her way, though, Kiaravell was distracted by a large container that read 'Holy Water'. She was instantly reminded of what Demetri had said to her earlier that day. Needless to say, the entire church was shrieking in the morning over their pink holy water.
Kiaravell doubted she'd ever be allowed back.
