⊹ 《THE NEXT DAY, 6 FEB》 Kiaravell had woken up early. As soon as she did, she tried sitting up. It hurt, but it was manageable. Walking, less so. But she managed to steady herself within an hour.
She'd gotten an invitation from Baku saying that there would be a surprise for dear Tak. Kiaravell didn't plan on missing it. So, as much as it pained her, the girl put on a comfortable layer of clothes to hide her bandaged body, took her Garaghi for extra precaution and left for the party. Everyone hid (Archer had the best hiding spot) and waited for Tak to arrive. And then, surprise. Then a moment of awkward silence.
Once that was done, it was time for the grill. The horribly tiny, almost-didn't-work grill. And nobody had brought any meat, too. And so, Kiaravell decided to call upon her Household members to get the job done. Turns out, Veastial didn't like chicken. And no one, save for her non-brother, ate cooked meat. Godammit. But it was enjoyable, nonetheless. Took her mind off the pain.
But as the day darkened, so did her mood. She was the Imperium now. And her Curse was still damaging her health considerably. The time she had to spend with her friends was so very limited. Soon, there would be no more Tak to greet her and make her feel welcomed. No more Lesty to bother occasionally. No more Tzazzy and his quiet presence. No more Veastial and his lewd comments. No more "brother" to tease and create chaos with. No more "mother" to support her. No more Demetri to call her 'Strawberry'. No more Baku to throw pebbles at. No more Archer to hang around with. No more Mally for the off chance that she needed a hug and a face full of hair.
Oh, how she'd miss them.
