Sojiro looks around at the dimly lit apartment.
"Is this where you live?"
Sojiro asked Ryoko.
"Yah, I live here."
She helps him up the steps and into the room.
It isn't that big, but Sojiro wasn't complaining.
She helped him to the couch and sat down across from him.
"So, hows your leg?"
Sojiro looked at it, it felt like it was pounding.
"Its still throbbing."
Sojiro's suddenly remembered about his friend.
"HEY!! Did you see someone with me? A girl, with pink hair?"
Ryoko shrugged.
"No, just you, and that Marcus guy."
Sojiro started to stand.
"I have to find Sakura-"
Ryoko jumped up and pushed him back on the couch.
"It won't heal like that! You have to stay off of it for a while."
Sojiro sighed and threw his sword over into a corner.
Ryoko sat closer to him.
"Why don't you tell me what happened?"
Sojiro looked her in the eyes and told her of his horrific experience with the blob.
* * * * * * * * *
"Hey mom!"
Ryoko said, when a woman, with black skin, walked through the door.
Sojiro looked at her surprised.
"Mom?! But your skin is white, and-"
Ryoko cut him off.
"I'm an orphan. Long story, longer than yours."
Ryoko's mother didn't see Sojiro, but when she turned around, she bellowed.
"Oh, Lordy, lordy, lord!! Girl, who is this?! I ain't havin' no salesmen in my house!"
Ryoko waved her hand.
"He isn't a salesman. He's some guy who just tried to fight a car."
Sojiro looked at her.
"It tried to fight me. Not the other way around."
Ryoko's mother threw grocery bags on the table.
"Whatever, honey. Just be nice to my little girl."
Sojiro nodded.
"Yes ma'm."
Ryoko went to help her with the groceries.
"You can call my mom Zola."
Sojiro laid back all the way.
"Sorry for being a burden. If I hadn't broken my leg."
Ryoko shrugged.
"Its fine. In a couple of weeks, you'll be good as new."
Sojiro smacked his hands together.
"I hope so."
*********** 1 Month Later ********************************************
"Your doing good. Keep going. Watch out!!"
Ryoko yelled as Sojiro fell on top of her.
She pushed him off.
"You tried to go to fast!! Idiot!!"
Sojiro wiped dirt off of him.
"I'm doing better though!"
Ryoko nodded.
"Yeah, better than one month ago."
She stood up.
"C'mon. Zola's probably got dinner ready."
**************** 1 Week later ****************************************
"Hyyoooooooooohhhhhhh!!!!!!"
Sojiro yelled and swung his sword at the tree.
The sword cut cleanly through and Sojiro sheathed it and walked away.
Seconds later, the huge tree fell, a loud roar filling the neighborhood.
"WHO-HOOO!!"
Ryoko and Zola yelled raising their arms and shouting.
Sojiro grinned.
"Eh, it was nothing."
Zola stood up and walked inside.
"I'll get ya'll some'n to drink."
Sojiro wiped the sweat off of his brow and laughed.
It had been a while since he had done that. Sojiro had finally got all of his senses fully aware now.
He could stand, walk, even practice with his sword. Things were finally looking up for him.
He still missed Sakura, though.
