-guilt- Well, you know how to turn on the guilt of someone, if they have done that, and I have done just that. Though, I heard a quote in a book that I read once "We saw so much death, that we had to joke about it once in a while so it didn't overwhelm us." It was from a guy in a military unit, in a war, so yeah, you can understand. Sometimes, you have to joke about something serious, other wise you get weighted down. Like, at my dad's funeral, we were laughing more then anything else, telling all the funny things he did, or all the funny stories he had. All the jokes he liked, and just stories. It may be sick, but there is a lot of death in this world, and sometimes, the only way to deal with the stress of death is to joke.

If it's something like that, Isarde, then I find it fine to joke. But he made that joke and he was a teenager and had no right to. It depends on what ground you're coming from when he made that joke. Do not feel guilty.

I have a co-worker who's the same way, Myth. He's actually told that exact same joke, and often tells others that are just at tasteless. It's no wonder management leaves him in his little corner of the warehouse alone all day. I find it extremely vulgar and tasteless myself...I sure as heck don't laugh or respond to such debased humor.

Hoo boy, I remember this joke. neutral I happen to have a jewish friend. A mormon friend of mine made this joke to him. He shook his head while telling us to F' off. You'd think he was pissed, but he came back the next day with the same joke.

"What's the difference between a Jew and a Pizza?"

"DOESN'T MATTER! I HATE MORMONS!"

I think we remember him smiling while telling us all to die.

But yes, it's an evil joke and whoever came up with it should be dead for it. But it's already written itself into many people. All we can hope is no more jokes that go THAT far over the line.
