did I tell you about the contest nyssma-like-thingy-except-not I had on saturday? No? Do you want to hear it? No? Well, too bad, I will tell you anyway. So the judges said I had to start with scales, and told me I ccould choose the first one. I chose C, duh, its the easiest(at least on the cello) but that was a mistake. I did it fine, but I think that choosing the easiest one made them think I was a beginner or something. They asked me how many sharps and flats I could go up too, they guessed two or three(Im so insulted!) and they didnt beleive me when I said all of them, because they then asked if I had been working on a particular scale( like I would be learning the scales one at a time in 8th grade,). When I said no, they asked me-as if they couldnt hear the first time- if I could do flats, and asked me to play B flat. I was just thinking, wouldnt asking me all those questions kind of defeat the purpose of having me play scales? Its like giving a test, and if you get an answer wrong, you get to replace it with an easier one. I was surprised they thought all this, because highschoolers do this competition, too.
LATER. . . Yay!!!! Both the judges gave me 100's! 4laugh Sorry- I'm just so happy. But I'm kinda' nervouse about my score for nyssma, 'cauz I messed up a lot... cry .
LATER once again.. Yay!!! I got a 99 at Nyssma! (sorry, Im just so happy) 3nodding
