So, like.
They cut off my gums.
Slice and dice, if you will.
BEFOREHAND, however, he put the swabby-swabs with the 'crazy numbing action!' on my gums for about 5 or 6 minutes (I think).
Then he gave me about 15 shots.
They stung but it wasn't like 'OMGGGZZ OW I'M DYING LOLZ'.
It was like.. a needle-p***k.
That sat for a while until I could feel no more.
Then, I guess, he started the cutting.
I felt pressure on my teeth and heard scraping noises as if he were only cleaning them, not cutting anything but after the scrapes and such, I was informed that 'they were done with the majority'.
WOOHOO!
So, like, Valium, man.
Duuuuuude.
I went from 'Omg, this isn't going to work! My ADD medicine will negate the effects! Oh Jesuuz.. D:' to 'Hey, mom, where are we going..? Uhhh.. *tipsyfallingoverwoooo*'.
So, of course, during the surgery, I wasn't exactly aware of everything around me.
I had a nice warm blanket over me, a tissue shielding my eyes from the bright light, and feel good carefree-ness in general.
Uhh uhh.
They were only supposed to trim back my gums and 'shape' them but, apparently, the little muscle in my upper lip that is attached to my gums was too tight.
Too tight = would further irritate my gums and may result in this entire thing again.
So, like, they cut it.
And those were the 'snip snip snips' I heard.
They was a string over my cheek (which made me wonder why).
But.. THEY GAVE ME STITCHES!
Five. Vertically under my upper lip.
AND THEY HURT LIKE A &$^$#% VOLCANO.
My first surgery, my first stitches.
Too many firsts for one day.
D:
All in all, it was not so bad.
Couldn't feel a thing, slept it off afterwards, only problem was waking up to the intense pain of a mouth wound.
(Hey, at least they heal quickly *cough*.)
Things that I now cannot do for a week:
-Eat anything that is not 'soft'.
-Drink through straws.
-Drink with a cup without it running out of my mouth (can't close upper lip).
-Close my upper lip. Dx
-Smile (which I do basically all of the time).
-Kiss anything, including my Pixel baby, or make 'Muah!' kissykissy sounds on the phone.
-Pronounce 'B', 'M', or speak clearly (words are slurred).
-Brush my upper set of teeth (and barely can on the bottom).
-Eat without dropping food out of my mouth.
D':
No more feel-good feelings now.
Just 'ouchy-ouchies'.
I've Hydrocodone and Lortab.
They both make me feel super-dizzy and like a drunkard.
BUT AT LEAST THE SURGERY'S OVER.
Thank goodness for that.
