Even now this still makes me want to cry for hours. This really hit me hard when I first heard about how horribly mistreated this talented man was. And it was in my area. Can we really call ourselves an advanced race, even with all of our technological advances? When the African Americans were discriminated against and there were no longer whites only bathrooms, water fountains, and entrances, I really hoped we could learn from the past.
History repeats itself
Because the human race cannot stop segregating certain kinds of people from other types of people. What hurts me the most is that people are MADE to feel that unloved and worthless that they don’t think they have any other alternative but to die… . .I can’t claim to ever understand those who look at a person and only see a color, a sexuality, a disability, ETC. I can only pray for them and hope that gods mercy opens up their eyes and they see those people for what they really are.
