The Overlord's Journal
Alright, this is my journal. Diary just sounds weird, so journal it is. I'll write about whatever I want and such, and I really don't care if you read it or not. If you want to take a looksee, go ahead.
Entry Fifty-Seven...Couples
So recently a few of my friends have gotten into relationships, and a few others are complaining about their single status. I'll talk about the former, first.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for them and all about finding someone that makes them happy in that "filling" way. It's a great thing, I guess. But call me selfish, because now that they're in a relationship, that means they won't pay as much attention to me anymore. No longer will they talk to me as often, and no longer will they be available to talk to, seeing as they're more concerned with their own interests. Now they'll try to say the opposite, that they're still paying attention to their friends and all, or they'll admit it.

The ones that don't believe that are the ones that hug on their boyfriend/girlfriend and often drift away from the group to start kissing or making out with them. And if not paid attention to/left alone, you can catch them in the act, unless they go to a secluded place. Also, they're almost constantly next to each other or if one isn't there, are texting or talking to them on the phone. These are also the couples that, for whatever website they're on, more commonly facebook as I've seen, post couple pictures of themselves as their profile pictures so it's confusing at first glance to tell which one it is. They love to go on each other's profiles and comment "I love you so much, baby. I miss you so much." or they log into the account and post that as a status. You know, those ones. Those're the annoying ones in my opinion.

And then there are the single people who lament about not having anyone to love. Sometimes, they're the ones that become the "lovey-dovey" type I just wrote about. They become S&D'ed (Stressed and/or Depressed) that they're single and complain about not having anyone to love them or care about them. Some even fall into a deeper S&D as their single life continues and begin to say things like they'll never find anyone and they look into their flaws way too much.

Those ones have another level to them, too. If they've already been in at least relationship before, then they'll analyze that and what they did wrong. That'll fuel their S&D even more as they become more depressed or "emo" while thinking consciously/unconsciously of their former love (the stereotypical depressed person, not the actual emotional definition). They'll listen to sad songs, even quoting specific lyrics that strike a chord in them at that point in time. They're overall mood will reflect their inner feelings, often easily heard in their flat or lower-octave voice/tone.

I guess these are the people that annoy me most about the topic of "love". If you're a "lovey-dovey" couple, think about others before you act. Some of them might feel a pang of sadness then. And if you're am S&D person: Shut up, stop complaining, and do something. If that doesn't work, then maybe you're trying too hard.

I go with the belief that if you think or wish about something too much, it's more likely not to happen/come true.
