CHAPTER 2-MURDER OF THE FIRST Mom rises to her feet as Greisblade slowly walks toward us. “How did you escape?” mom asks angrily “It was quite simple really, I just meditated until my strength was strong enough to crumble that feeble dimension,” Greisblade states “That’s impossible!” mom argues, “I made sure that there was no possible way for you to escape.” “I guess you didn’t try to hard,” Greisblade says, “and because of your error your companions from so long ago are being killed as we speak. It’s probably a wonderful display of pain and agony, but I wanted the pleasure of killing you myself. “I ensure you that I won’t die so easily,” mom says defiantly “But can you guarantee the same for your son?” Greisblade says slyly I feel myself being shoved back as my mom rushes towards Greisblade. Using her momentum, mom added more power to the punch she delivered to Greisblade’s stomach. While Greisblade was still reeling from the impact, mom continued with a barrage of punches and kicks to any available area on Greisblade’s body. Mom finished her assault with a leg sweep. As Greisblade fell, mom continued her attack by kicking Greisblade. When mom brought her foot down to finish her combo, she was countered by Greisblade. Greisblade had patiently awaited his time to counterattack and when his time came he took full advantage of it. Grabbing mom’s foot, Greisblade throws mom into the porch with incredible force. Mom gets up somewhat bloody and continues to fight. While mom is struggling to stand, Greisblade materializes a sword that looks like a cross between a katana and a knight’s sword. As Greisblade charges preparing to slash, mom simultaneously charges with no weapons but her hands and feet. Greisblade slashes as mom ducks and leg sweeps him. Anticipating this move, Greisblade jumps and brings down his sword in a down thrust that shattered the ground. As mom jumped back to avoid this attack, she lost her balance due to the crumbling earth. Greisblade took this chance of a distraction to attack mom with a downward slash that would have cut my mother in two if she hadn’t caught the blade in between her hands. “Run Anthony,” mom yells “I won’t,” I reply “I’m your mother Anthony,” mom says, “do as I tell you.” I continue to watch as my mother pulls the sword from the Greisblade’s hands, throw it to the ground, and does a spinning left roundhouse kick to Greisblade’s face. Unfortunately, mom’s kick was blocked, and because it was blocked, she was left wide open for attack. Greisblade proceeded to throw mom into the crater he created earlier, materialized a kwon-dao, (type of spear), and started to rapidly stab her. When Greisblade stops attacking, mom somehow manages to stand. Mom is completely trashed, her clothing and breathing are ragged, she’s covered in blood, her hair is messy, and it looks as if her left arm is broken. Still, mom picks up the discarded sword, and with the last vestiges of her strength, mom swings the sword around wildly to drive Greisblade back. “What’s the matter Sera?” Greisblade mocks, “Having trouble hitting me? Are you tired?” “Heal!!!” I shout pointing at my mom By casting this spell, I heal most of mom’s wounds and she is also revitalized. “I thought I told you to run,” mom scolds “You needed help, so I decided to stay,” I say defiantly “If we survive, you are so grounded,” mom replies Mom and Greisblade clash blades as I run in the house. As I reached the window, I heard a bloodcurdling scream. When I look out the window, I see mom more bloodied up than when I had healed her. I was going to heal her again when Greisblade picked up mom by the head with his right hand as he formed a plasma ball in his left. Using his fingers, Greisblade forces mom’s mouth open and then forces the plasma ball down her throat. After he finished stuffing the plasma into mom’s mouth, Greisblade said some things and then mom starts to scream in pain. I don’t understand why she’s screaming until I scan her stomach. She’s being imploded by a mini-black hole! I sit staring in horror as my mother is sucked out of existence. After mom had completely dissipated, my entire being went numb. I couldn’t believe that my mom is dead. As I sat sulking, doubting that my mom was dead and that all of this was a dream, something inside of me snapped. I was suddenly filled with an incredibly powerful rage and I lost all of my composure. “GREISBLADE!!!!!!!!” I shout “Ah, so the young didn’t flee,” Greisblade states I rush out of the house and I pick up the sword, which by physical standards is completely impossible, but I was a child possessed. “I will make you pay for killing my mom,” I say “and I mean pay both figuratively and literally.” “Explain,” Greisblade asks “What I mean is that first I’m gonna kick your a**, then I’m gonna take your money,” I explain I then charge at Greisblade like a madman wildly swinging the sword. I never landed a blow because Greisblade was either out of my strike range, or he was blocking with that stupid kwon-dao. After a while, I got really tired and collapsed from fatigue. “Young one it is not wise to fight in anger, and now you shall see why,” Greisblade says As he said, my anger was my downfall, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t make a comeback. I silently chanted the healing spell as Greisblade slowly approached me. Just as he was about to impale me, I rolled away, jumped to my feet, and casted the fire spell. As the fireballs erupted from my palm, I realized that they were four times the size of my normal fireballs. While Greisblade was busy fending off the flames, I casted the fire spell on my sword setting it ablaze. I attacked while Greisblade was still distracted hitting him with the technique I had perfected earlier which I had just named the Blaze Combo. After finishing the attack, Greisblade was on his knees reeling the impact of my blows. I hold Greisblade at sword point preparing to decapitate him when I just quit. “You’re not even worth killing,” I say coldly “Wrong choice boy,” Greisblade counters And with that, Greisblade stood and blew me back with his dark energy. The force of me hitting a tree in mid-flight caused me to black out. Greisblade approached my still body contemplating what to do next. “To kill such a fine warrior would be foolish,” Greisblade ponders while looking at me, “so I’ll impart my twilight powers into this child to create my final general a new host, and he shall feed on all the negativity the child creates.” And with all of that said and done, Greisblade imbunes me with a power so dark, that an evil aura of great magnitude manifested itself as a curse mark on my left hand. Then Greisblade chants the transport spell and is gone in a flash of light. I wake up the next morning to rain and the fact that I’m soaked. Now I’m pissed because I’m wet and I’m probably catching a cold. Once I get over being wet, I look around and realize that my house is the only one left standing and that I’m the only living thing around. I then realize that I’m still holding the sword and that my head and left arm are throbbing. Still, I can ignore the pain only because I’m to focusing on my mom. Unfortunately though, no matter how much I cared for her, there’s nothing I can do to bring her back. All I can do is hope for the future and hope to get my revenge.
