So I've been on the forums a lot recently. Cosplay contest, you know? And a pop up comes on the screen telling me Gaia has encountered an error, and that I need to enter my username and password.
I know that's a phishing scam. I've seen a lot in my lifetime.
There was another one that hit me months ago that I was more worried about. Another pop up on the forums saying that I was going through pages too fast, and they thought I might be botting. The ad said to enter my username and password or else I'd be booted off of Gaia. Now that one sounded more official, but I ignored it in fear it was a phishing scam. I'm glad I did, too. I haven't gotten kicked off of Gaia, so I'm fairly sure it was a scam.
Anyways, I just wanted to tell my friends and anyone else who happens to stumble across my page about that. I was almost fooled by one even with my knowledge on phishing. Avoid those pop ups, y'all.
