Glam sighed and she noticed that somewhere in May's diary was a person named Naku? Glam quickly took out May's diary and searched where Naku came up, and there it was.

May's Diary
Dear Diary,
I met the owner of GOOD COFFEE, her name is Crow Hane, but of course her maiden name is Hasuki. Since I took Japanese, I know a little bit of it. Hane means feather and hasuki means husky. It's nice to know languages.
Dear Diary,
I learned that Crow has a very sad past. You see, as a child, she was an outcast of her family....

P.O.V of May Paddy Mackerel
I was crossing the street on a Friday morning, I smelled an odd smell, but I shook it off. I entered GOOD COFFEE and took in the aroma of the coffee. I sat down at the bar counter and greeted Crow. Crow looked at me and said, "You're a good friend of mine, so please call me Karasu."
"Okay Karasu," I replied as I took out my notebook.
Karasu passed me my regular coffee, "You should try other flavors, this one is kind of boring."
"Thank you," I thanked Karasu for the coffee as I savored the smell and steam, "I like this flavor very much because it's simple."
"Simple?"
"Yeah, when things are simple, you can see things straight, but if things are complex, like a frappuccino, you can't really see things clearly."
"Well, if you say so," Karasu passed me a slice of apple pie, "it's on the house."
"Thanks!" I said, preparing myself to gobble down the pie, "You make the best!"
"I'm flattered," smiled Karasu as she sat herself down with a notebook.
"Hmm..... so good!"
----A few days later-----
When I entered the coffee shop, Karasu was not there. I decided to stay anyway. I waited for I bit and she came, but there was an aura of pain and sadness. She gave me the regular and sat down. I stared at her, "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing.."
"I can tell something is up, you know that you always smile, when you see me."
"Well,"
"Yeah?"
"Let me tell you a story."
----STORY------
'"Naku come on! We are so close to being finished," said the brown/black haired boy who was standing beside me.
"Alright Taka! I thought I saw something.. We better catch up with the others," Taka and I ran to catch up to the rest of the squad.
"You should tell the Captain what you saw. He might want us to check it out."
"No it will be okay. It was probably just my eyes playing tricks on me," I said, reassuringly.
"Alright if you think so Naku. But still I think you might want to tell the Captain."
I sighed at what he said.
Taka laughed as I pulled a notebook out of my pocket, "You’re still not done with that story yet?"
I shook my head and scribbled something down. I smiled at Taka as the squad stopped to rest, "Glenn is starting to turn out like you, Taka."
Taka laughed, "Is that a bad thing? Or a good thing?"
I snuggled closer to Taka for warmth, "No, at least I don’t think so. Misty could use a laugh now and again." Taka smiled and kissed me,'

Karasu paused as she wiped away her tears. “That was the last time we were able to discuss that story.”
I looked at Karasu, “Wait a sec. . . You’re Naku?”
Karasu nodded, “I was getting to that part. May I continue?”
I nodded.
----------
‘"Naku wake up," whispered Taka.
"What is it?"
Taka swallowed his fear, "Ambush. . ."
"Are you sure?" Taka nodded.
"Well lets get down to business," I said with a grin.
Taka nodded and morphed into a hawk as I morphed into a husky. I ran to the Captain and licked him to wake him up. "Naku?? What is it?" the Captain asked. I turned human and made a sign for ambush.
The Captain signed, "Are you sure?" I nodded in reply.
"Where is Taka?" I pointed up and waved my arms. The Captain nodded and was quick to silently wake the others. As Taka and I scouted out the area and marked the enemies position, I howled to let Taka know where we were to meet. That was a fatal mistake. . . A bullet whizzed over my head and I was quick to change positions. I found a place where I could hand signal Taka. I saw him circling where I had been. I knew he had seen me as he flew towards where I was. "Come down," I signed. Taka dove down and almost landed on me.
Taka turned human and grabbed me, "Are you okay?" I nodded in reply. "Good lets go they’re headed this way." Taka and I ran through the underbrush towards the rendezvous point. That is when it happened. Taka yelled out in pain and fell to the ground.
"Taka! Are you okay? Get up please!"
Taka pulled me down and got over me, "Don’t move." I didn’t dare move. I was perfectly concealed under Taka. Enemies ran right by and didn’t even notice us.
I crawled from under Taka, "Are you okay, Taka?!" I smelled it before I saw it, . . . blood.
Taka smiled at me and gave a pained laugh, "I’m sorry Naku. . . We should have hidden in the weeds."
I placed a hand over Taka’s wound, "Shush. . . Save your strength Taka. It was my fault, I should have told the Captain about what I saw."
Taka shook his head and pulled me to him. I felt the tears stinging my eyes as he kissed me. "Will you be able to handle that coffee shop without me?"
I shook my head. " Don't worry, Taka, you will be there with me. You know that I can’t do it without you."
"Yes you can Naku. . . ," Taka took off his dog tags and placed them in my hand, "Naku. . . I’m sorry. . . It’s kind of funny though. You are the only one I have to leave behind. . . . . But Naku remember that I will always be with you."

"I don’t remember much after that. . . . All I remember is blood. . . . So much blood,” Karasu grinned malevolently “I killed them. Just like they had killed everyone else in my squad," Karasu paused and then continued,"I was the only one left when Charlie squad came to find us. After that Karasu is what everyone called me because whatever squad I was in everyone was killed or close to death.” Karasu paused and stared into my eyes, “I can tell that death follows you as well. Be careful. . . It may rub off on those you care about.”
Karasu gave the regular a slice of apple pie, “Most people run off after I tell them my story. You must have heard a lot of stories that are like mine. You must be an outcast like me.”
“How did you know?”
Karasu laughed, “You didn’t flinch when I told you I was a shape shifter.”
"Well, I think you will would be more surprised if you knew that we have more in common."
Karasu stared at me strangely, "Huh?"
I smiled, "Well for starters, I....."
