"A New Road Has Begun"

One year begins, as another ends
And time, it seems, always tends
To pass by ever so quickly year after year
Passing on memories of love and of tears

A century begins, yet another reached its end
In which time advances into its speedy trend
Of ever-lasting treachery and despair
Yet love and happiness counter it there

A millennium begins, as the past one has ended
New friends and foes continue, though they are not intended
As they bring hope for the future generation
This new era of the times will reach its destination

A new road has begun, a new road has begun
Bringing new allies and foes and new weapons and guns
As the new road begins, the past one ends
The vast space of time's trends.
