In this poem I tried to encapsulate my feelings of loss, at yet another failed attempt at a relationship, but at the same time, giving thanks to a new found friend
I don't want to feel
I don't want to heal
I don't want to hurt
But it's hard 'cos I've been burnt
I'm feeling blue
So sad. So true
I feel like this more often
But this harsh blow, you help soften
You bring the rain
I so desperately need
You wash away this pain...
You're just what I need...
Though we were never meant to be
My broken heart, you helped mend
Though you mean so much to me
We were only meant to be friends
For you to be heard,
I leave these parting words
We'll be friends
To the very last end
