This ish for you, Gehze... I love you more than mere words could possibly describe. heart
Before I tell my tale, I has a poem for thee:
I Promise In spite of the darkness that ensues Once the terrible and greedy create issues, We can always find a light, We can always embrace the night, For our love conquers all, And we won't ever fall. I promise you, my love, you will never find harm So long as I give the strength of my heart and arm. Never again will your spirit be crushed, And never again will your decisions be rushed. I will always be here to snuggle you close, And never shall I neglect to give you a dose Of my unending, undying love for thee. I love you, my darling. You mean the world to me. heart
Story time...
The pale, bright moon glowed brilliantly among the stars that twinkled upon the velvety night sky. Its light shone through the emerald, leafy canopy in the trees of the forest, painting the hues of nature's children lighter than they would be in the dark. Not a creature stirred under the gentle care of the shadows... At least, most of them did not. A wolf loped furiously, recklessly through the forest with all of its speed. The proud male's pale, snowy fur was illuminated beautifully by the light of the heavens, giving it an unearthly and intimidating guise. Aye, the animal definitely had a purpose, for nothing else could have given it the hard, determined glint in its deep, blue eyes, but its intentions were undetectable as it continued its graceful sprint. The white wolf stopped dead in his tracks, his paws skidding against the earth for a moment before he dug his claws deep into the soil. Slowly fumbling through the darkened woods, the wolf looked about as his ears swiveled as though trying to hear anything, anything at all... There was the snap of a shattering branch, and the wolf swiftly whirled around. Nothing was there... The wolf whimpered and sniffed the air hopelessly as a single, silvery tear trickled down his face. There was a scent... A familiar scent. A scent that quickened the beating of his heart and caused warmth and bliss to blossom in his chest. The white wolf sniffed once more, savoring the smell, then glanced about to find the source. Looking down, the wolf overturned several of the many dead leaves that coated the forest floor with his paw and found the abandoned scraps of an orange peel. They were crafted into the likeness of a heart within a circle. The wolf looked up with determination in its eyes, then heard a faint rustling, followed by a familiar sound... The frightened mewling of a cat. Fear glittered clearly in the wolf's eyes as it bounded forth, searching diligently for the location of the feline's helpless call. Taking shallow breaths as his paws padded against the earthen ground of the forest, the wolf arrived at a broad, dense bush. Steeling himself, the wolf leaped mightily over the bush to discover a revolting, dreadful scene. A young tigeress cowered against the rough bark of a tree, the white parts of her fur gleaming as radiantly as the wolf's while the black stripes glistened sleekly. Her blue-green eyes were filled with such panic and terror that tears filled the wolf's own eyes, but his sorrow was soon replaced with a towering fury as he beheld what frightened her. A massive, dark panther pawed smoothly, purposefully toward the tiger. Greed and desire radiated from the foul beast in sickening waves, purring deeply as he drew ever closer. The red, malevolent eyes of the beast glinted as his tail wagged slowly, as though relishing the moment. Growling menacingly, the wolf bellowed at the lustful feline, causing him to momentarily turn away from its victim. Appearing displeased, the panther haughtily flicked his gaze back to the tiger, and the wolf knew that he wanted only to take what pleased it and leave, no matter how anyone else felt about it. Disgust and pure hatred welled in the heart of the wolf. The wolf loped forward as gracefully and silently as a spectre of the moon, then ferociously tackled the dark panther. Rolling with the beast across the forest floor, the wolf winced as the panther's long, sharp claws dug through his flesh and invoked white-hot pain in his limbs. With a mighty wrench, the wolf forcefully shoved the panther to the ground, causing the air to burst from the panther's lungs with a whoosh. Howling its victory to the stars that twinkled in the sky, the wolf bounded on top of the defeated feline and sunk his fangs deep into his throat. Feebly squirming in the wolf's grip, the panther vainly attempted to flee as his blood poured from the flesh the wolf had damaged, dyeing the auburn floor of the forest crimson. Cowardice and fear betrayed in his every movement, the panther managed to fling a paw to the ground away from the animal that had easily overpowered him. Anger and loathing burned like a firey inferno in the wolf's eyes as it looked down at the shadow of a feline without an ounce of pity... Retribution would be his. Tightening his jaw's brutal hold on the throat of the cat, the wolf mightily jerked his head from side to side, resulting in a sickening crunch. The spine of the panther had broken like the branch of a tree... It was all over. After licking himself clean of the scarlet blood that had fountained from the panther's mortal wound, the wolf solemnly padded over to where the tigress had been fearing for her life. The wolf growled softly, as though trying to tell her that she was finally safe. The tigress shyly scampered from behind a tree, admiration glinting in her soft, lovely eyes. Slowly, the two animals approached each other. The wolf growled and nuzzled the nose of the tiger, who responded with shock as well as affection. Together, the two animals lay against the forest floor, snuggling each other as exhaustion overtook them. The wolf's heartbeat quickened as he took in her scent, warmth and bliss blossoming in his chest, then closed his eyes. Contentment coursed through him.
