About this Roleplay Game's gameplay;
The idea is currently revolving the idea of one Quest Maser (QM) hosting a roleplay adventure for a small group of players; about four to six players seems manageable. Each RP Quest thread would have an accompanying "Chat" thread so the players could talk with each other while they wait their turn. This is a solution to the problem that plagues most roleplays; having to wait for someone else generally eats away at someone's interest. These chat threads should keep the interest alive by offering a place for the players to hang out until they are ready.
Another idea is for players to participate in PvP roleplay threads. After a ruleset is determined and provided, a dedicated thread to a Player vs Player sparring roleplay could be created for two players to interact directly with one another without the necessity of a QM. Referees could be official ranking users, or other players that happen to spectate. Rewards for sparring could consist of player offerings of items or Gold for a win, experience points added to the player character for statistical growth, or just for the fun of sparring.
The QM's responsibilities would involve taking the group on a well-written adventure, giving the players situations and encounters that challenging their creative thinking and use of items. Such situations could call of utilizing weapons and gear in unique ways, and enemy encounters would allow them to use teamwork. Gaia's Dice Roll feature would be in heavy use, as many of the actions would require a roll for success.
If the idea takes off, I can see a council of sorts to vote on various additions of content available for QM's, such as enemy spawns, situation lists, and dungeon environments. The adventures would be modular, utilizing blocks of content in various combinations to create an interesting and unique experience for the players as well as the QM.
QMs would be able to participate in other Adventures, as well, so there would be equal fun for everyone.
My ideal vision consists of having a dedicated Guild, but that's far in the future.
