"It's such a beautiful night." A young teenage girl, about the age of 16, said as she looked up at the stars. The guy she was walking with put his arm around her, "It is." He said, holding her close as they walked. "I had fun tonight." She said, smiling at the guy. The guy smiled and nodded, but said nothing. The two stopped suddenly as a twig in the nearby forest snapped loudly. The girl giggled lightly, "Hunters." She said, trying to convince him and herself that it wasn't something big - like a bear or a wolf. The boy nodded, "Probably so." He said, switching places with the girl. "Eric, I can manage walking by the woods after a twig snaps." She said coolly, her blue eyes sparkling under the light of the street lamps. Eric nodded, "I know. But it's better you than me, Sylvia." said Eric, putting his arm around her shoulders and leading her down the street. A few steps down the road and another twig snapped in the forest. This time, there was a low growl accompanying the sound. Fear fluttered in the two's stomachs. Sylvia looked up at Eric, fear showing in his flawless face. "I'm scared. What if it's rabid?" She asked, knowing it was either a dog or a wolf. Eric chuckled lightly, trying to make sure she didn't see the fear in his face, "It's nothing!" He said, waving his hand in the air as if to blow the problem away, "It probably won't even bother us. 'Sides I read wolves don't normally approach people - they're more scared of us than we are of them." He said, giving a nervous laugh. Sylvia nodded her head, "Right. Can you walk me home now? It's getting late..." She said, looking at the woods. As a low bark could be heard. The two stepped up their pace and heard foot steps - or was it the sound of an animal walking? - behind them. Soon, the two were in a dead run, but stopped dead when a white and grey wolf ran out in front of them, baring it's teeth. "Eric..." Sylvia said, grabbing on to his arm and moving as close to him as she could. Eric turned her around slowly to find two more wolves behind them. Eric held his breath, fearful for the two's life. Soon they were surrounded by five wolves, making a circle around the two teenagers. "Stay calm." Eric warned Sylvia as he stepped in front of her - wrong move. The five wolves were on top of him and the girl within a blink of an eye. No one was around to hear them scream. No one would be able to find the bodies.

"What were you guys thinking?" Tala said, her purple eyes gleaming with hatred. Her two friends were standing behind her as the boys were confronted. "You five know that little incident could expose us!" Randi chimed in, fear dominating her facial features. Luna tried her hardest not to show any emotions, but hatred and fear were boiling inside her. "Oh, come on you guys, it was just a little fun." Said Conan a little nervously, there was still a hint of his Scottish accent. "A little fun? You killed two innocent people, Conan!" Tala said in a harsh whisper. "They weren't too innocent, babe." Lyall said, looking up at the three of us for the first time. "What do you mean?" Luna asked lightly. "The guy, Eric, was going to expose us. Somehow he found out what we were..." Kenley answered.

"Well, if it's to protect the pack, then it's alright." Randi said sarcastically, "You guys should have went straight to Ralph, he would have sorted things out." Luna and Tala nodded in agreement. "We didn't have time..." Conall said. "Bull. You know how crazy he would have looked to the authorities? Raving about werewolves! Why, they'd pass it off as a joke!" Tala exclaimed. "Why'd you guys kill the girl, Sylvia?" Luna asked calmly. "She was as crazy as the guy! She would have backed him up one hundred percent, she'd do anything to keep him by her side." Rudy said. Luna rolled her eyes, "Well, you five need to have a good alibi, because we're not going to cover your asses when the time comes!" She said, turning around to leave - she was tired of the excuses they always made up.

"Can you believe them?" Luna asked as the three girls walked towards the community's park.
"It was a really stupid thing for them to do." Tala said.
"I don't see why they didn't go to Ralph." Randi said, a little bit of agitation showing in her voice.
"Well, with Kenley being the next-in-line Alpha, maybe he thought he should take care of it himself." Tala suggested. Randi stopped mid-stride and turned towards Tala. "That's no excuse!" She yelled.
"Randi, chill. It was just a suggestion." Luna said, "I'll talk to Conan later and see if I can find out the full story. He tells me everything."

"Girls, do you know where your guy friends are?" An old man asked as he approached the three. The man was carrying a wooden cane, a wolf adorning it. His hand shook the cane as he stood before the girls. "It's gotten worse." Luna thought sadly as she stared at the packs leader, or Alpha, Ralph Lovell.
"They're at the cafe, sitting outside." Luna answered, smiling sweetly at the old man.
"Thank you, Miss Dolph." Ralpha said, returning her smile before turning around to go talk to the boys. "Do you think he'll kick them out?" Randi asked quietly as the man slowly walked away. "I hope not..." Luna replied. "That's all we can do, is hope." Tala said.

Later that day, Luna was sitting outside on her porch, reading. "Dani?" Conan Ranulff stood at the entrance of the porch. His red hair was messy and his clothes were dirty. "Hey, Conan. Were you and the guys at practice?" She asked. Her friend nodded, "Yeah. Can I sit down?" He asked, not sure if his clothes were too dirty for the porch swing. Luna smiled, "Of course you can." Conan made his way to the swing and sat down beside the girl.

"What are you reading?" He asked. "Oh, it's 'The Divine Comedy' by Dante Alighieri." Luna said, closing the book. Conan cocked his head to the side, "What's it about?" He asked. She smiled, "Well, there's three separate books, really. Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise. Inferno being Hell, Purgatory being...well, Purgatory, and Paradise being Heaven. It's about a pilgrim - Dante's alter ego, actually - travelling through each. I'm still on Inferno..." Luna answered excitedly.
"Isn't there a game based off of it? Dante's Inferno...or something?" He asked.
Luna nodded, "There is, actually." Conan smiled, he loved listening to her talk - especially when she was talking about books. She always got so excited. Books and music were her two favorite things and he loved listening to her talk about both.

"What's going to happen to you and the others?" Luna asked, looking away. "Are you guys getting kicked out?"
"No, Ralph is going to take care of it. If Kenley hadn't been in on it, we would be..." Conan paused, "Can I tell you something?"
"Of course you can." Luna said, smiling at her friend.
"Okay, but you can't tell anyone."
"Your secret's safe with me."
Conan sighed, "Last night we were having a bit of a pre-Graduation party at Kenley's house. It was his idea. I thought we were just going to have a few drinks and some fun, you know? Then Kenley got on the subject of Eric. He started talking about the other day when Eric was yelling at you...Why was he yelling at you?"
"It was a stupid fight, really. We were partners in Science class. I was doing all the work and he was bossing me around. I told him that he needs to finish the project because I wasn't going to. He said he had more important things to do than work on a stupid project. I then told him that we'd fail it then, because I wasn't going to work on it and let him take all the credit. That's when he started yelling at me." Luna said, blushing a bit at the thought of the fight.
"Eric was a bit of a jerk." Conan said.
Luna nodded, "Yeah, but he did the rest of the project."
Conan laughed before continuing on, "Anyway, he said that Eric had been coming up to him at school and basically bullying him into doing whatever he wanted because he knew what we were and threatened to tell. Kenley said we should go and scare him, like a bit of a warning. None of us knew how much Kenley had been drinking, or we wouldn't have done it..."
"How'd you find him?" Luna asked.
"Rudy said that he overheard Eric telling some of his friends that he was taking her out to a movie. It wasn't that hard to wait for them." Conan answered, "So we waited outside of the theater. To our surprise, they were walking. That made it easier on us, of course, so we didn't have any complaints. We walked in the woods by the sidewalk in our wolf forms. It was all good and fun - just snapping a few twigs, crunching leaves, howling every now and then. Then Kenley jumped out in front of him. We followed suit, thinking we were just going to scare them a little and let them go. We formed a circle around them, trapping them. Kenley got down real low and started growling. Again, we did the same. Next thing I know, Kenley jumps and knocks Eric down...He...He started to...to tear Eric apart. Sylvia went to run away, but Lyall jumped on top of her and pinned her there." A tear rolled down Conan's face as he remembered the encounter. Luna scooted closer to him and put a comforting arm around his shoulders, "It's okay." She said, patting his back. "Did Kenley kill both of them?" She asked. Conan nodded, "H-he said that we we-were in this t-t-together. Said h-he'd k-kill us if w-w-we told a-any authorities." He said between sobs.
"He could do that, too...." Luna said, "He's unfit to be Alpha...
