Currently, I've been working with my writer's block. Luckily, I had a stroke of genius tonight. I found some creative fuel and now I can revise a lot of my work. I'm hoping to get some new ideas, but until then this is what I will do. I figured giving my writing a face lift will help. Perhaps it's the plain, boring font and color I give my writing that stops the creative juices from flowing. This story has already been posted in my journal so many times, but Idc. I gotta do what I can to bring my ideas back. I'm working with faulty equipment and Gaia seems to be the only place that works.
Anyway, enjoy. smile

I wasn’t in love with him.
This thought possessed me, haunted me as I entered into the school. There wasn’t any possibility our relationship could work out. There were too many differences. Too many emotions. My favorite and most felt was hate. He had done the unthinkable, unforgivable, cruelest action. There was no turning back. I was determined to get my revenge. I didn’t care how many girls backed him, adored him, loved him. To me he was the son of Satan.
“Mai!” Someone hollered my name across the crowded school hallway. I ignored them. I headed straight for his class. My arms and legs trembled at the thought of his disgusting face. My stomach twisted with rage. Expulsion seemed a high possibility. Maybe even jail time.
“Mai...Mai!” the distraction's loud voice irritated me. My head pounded with enough ferocity. I continued on my path of destruction. I wanted to call him out in front of the entire student body. I yearned for justice. Sweet revenge streamed through my veins. No one was going to stop me. I would make sure of it.
Reaching his classroom, I counted to three. The door was wide open, classes had yet to begin, leaving me no chance at entering violently. My excitement reached it’s climax. I barged into the classroom, stomping nosily in my boots, and my eyes scanned every dork standing awkwardly in the classroom. Where was he? Where was he? Where was he?! He had to be here! My grand entrance couldn’t be for nothing.
“Stop!” A hand grabbed my shoulder causing me to jump slightly. “Do you know how hard it is to run after you?” I turned towards the voice to see Keith wheezing, hands on knees, trying to catch his breath. I cut him a mean look.
“Not now Keith. Don’t get between a woman and her revenge.” I passed him and returned to the hallway. There were more important things to do. I searched the hallway for any sign of him.
“Revenge?” Keith appeared behind me. “Is it your boyfriend? I saw him in the gym.”
I swiveled around, as fast as gravity would allow me to, and threw my finger directly in his face. “Don’t you dare refer to him as my b-b-boyfriend!” The word was poison on my lips.
Keith blinked twice, wiped his nose.
I rested my hands on my hips, “Hmph, I don’t even want to hear his name.”
“Typical black girl.”
“I don’t need any of your racist s**t right now Keith. All I want to do is get my hands around Toby’s conceited neck.” I began pacing through the hallways again. I stopped in front of each and every doorway peering inside for the one idiot who dared cross me. I’m not usually a vengeful girl, but this was the one day and time appropriate for revenge. Keith followed, right on my heels, bugging me as usual.
He apologized as we searched, “Hey, you know I’m not racist. I was just running my big mouth. You know me…” he trailed off as I faced him. His facial expressions teetered between amusement and smugness.
“I’m in the middle of something Keith!” Was he deliberately trying to throw me off Toby’s scent?
“I hate to say I told you so, but…”
“Don’t start!” I power walked around the next corner spotting Toby’s usual crowd. Unfortunately, there was no Toby amongst them. “I’m wondering if I should stick to myself. It would be far less complicated. ” Yes, maybe it would get easier with time. I began towards Toby’s crowd, but then thought twice. I whipped around towards Keith quickly in my decision, stumbling. He steadied me.
“Whoa girl. You really are upset.”
“Yes I am.” I sighed. “I need a plan.” My mind raced with thoughts of revenge, none of them plausible in a small town like ours. If only I hadn’t trusted Toby. None of this foolishness would have happened. Keith tapped my shoulder.
“What?” I swatted his hand away lost in thought. He tapped again. Once again, I faced him with anger. He was pointing at Toby’s group. There stood Toby in the midst of them.
Keith bent and whispered into my ear, “Mai you better think of a plan, quick.”
