Chapter 35
Ryo, Bella, Edward and Nero arrived at the scene, once they arrived they saw Sentaro attacking Elena.
Ryo: What the hell's going on?
Elena: *keeps blocking Sentaro's attacks with her bow* Someone's controlling Sentaro using mind control.
Edward: Mind control?
Bella: What're we gonna do?
Sentaro: *attempts to stab Elena with his blade*
Ryo: *gets in Elena's way, blocks his attack with his scythe* Elena, you go look for the evil puppetmaster, I'll handle Freaky Eyes.
Elena: *nods* All right, be careful. *runs off* I know it was you, Eurydice. You'll pay for this!
Ryo: The rest of you stay back, I'll handle this.
Bella: What?! You can't tell us what to do!
Ryo: You wanna start something, b***h?!
Nero: *gently tugs on Ryo's coat* Um, Ryo-san? Can I help? I wanna save my big brother.
Ryo: You fight? Hm, I dunno..... You're still a novice fighter, and your magic isn't all that strong.
Nero: Please?
Ryo: *sighs* Well, all right. Just... try not to get killed.
Nero: Yes sir!
While Ryo and Nero get ready for battle, Chita was running around the ancient labyrinth searching for the Immortal of Greed Lazarus, while avoiding the monsters that were roaming the halls.
Chita: *stops running, pants* Dammit, another dead end. *looks behind her, sees a minotaur* Oh crap!
Lazarus: *speaks through Chita's mind* What's a matter, sweetie? You givin' up? *laughs maniacally*
Chita: *summons vines, they wrap around the minotaur's legs* There's no way in hell I'm giving up! *takes out her gun, shoots point blank at the minotaur's head, killing it*
Lazarus: Don't get cocky, there's plenty more where that came from.
Chita: What? *sees a two-headed hellhound heading towards her* Uh oh.... *she jumps over it, runs off*
Lazarus: *laughs manaically* Run little girl, run! There's no place to hide from my pets!
Chita: *shoots at the hellhound, hoping to slow it down* Why don't you come out and fight, you b*****d?!
Lazarus: Aw, but that wouldn't be any fun, now would it?
Chita: Why you-! *hellhound bites her left arm* OW! Get off me, you lousy mutt! *smacks its head with her gun, it lets go* Ugh, you're just trying to tire me out, aren't ya?
Lazarus: Maybe....
Chita: Grr, I hate this stupid game! I've been here for who knows how long, I haven't had any sleep, and I'm hungry!
Lazarus: Hm, perhaps you're right.
Chita: *notices the hellhound backing off* What's going on? Why're you calling back your monsters?
Lazarus: I must congratulate you. You're the first person who survived my game the longest. Most warriors die after an hour. So, as a reward I will allow you one day of rest.
Chita: What? Just what're you up to?
Lazarus: Nothing, just being a nice guy. Sweet dreams, princess.
Chita: This is a trick, I know it. *summons herbs to use as medicine to heal her wounds* That's more like it. *summons an apple tree, takes an apple and eats it* Ah, I miss the taste of fresh fruit. *sighs* What am I doing? Even if I find that b*****d, how am I supposed to defeat him? He's an Immortal, he's unstoppable. *yawns, lies down* Oh well, perhaps the answer will come to me in a dream. *goes to sleep*
Ryo and Sentaro's blades were clashing. He was determined to save his best friend.
Ryo: Sorry, dude. This is gonna hurt me more than you.... Actually, it'll hurt you more. *sends a blast of fire at Sentaro*
Sentaro: *fires a blast of water, puttng out the fire blast, and soaking Ryo at the same time*
Ryo: *shakes himself dry* s**t, I can't use my fire powers. Seriously, this whole "soaking Ryo so he doesn't use fire" thing is starting to piss me off!
Nero: You can still use your earth magic, Ryo-san. *fires small electric orbs at Sentaro*
Sentaro: *swats them away with his hand*
Nero: Aw, no fair! None of my attacks are hurting him.
Ryo: Don't worry, I got him. *stomps on the ground, an earth cage forms around Sentaro, trapping him* WOOT! It worked!
Sentaro: *earth cage starts cracking, sends a strong psychic blast, breaks free*
Nero: *gasps* Oh no, he got out!
Ryo: *slaps his forehead, groans* Of course he did....
Sentaro: *turns to Ryo, looking at him with his glowing red eyes*
Ryo: *backs away* Oh god, please don't stare at me like that, you're freaking me out!
Evil voice: Having a bit of trouble?
Ryo: You again?! What do you want?
Evil voice: I've decided to give you a hand. Why don't I give you some of my power?
Ryo: What? What're you talking about? Who are you?
Evil voice: *evil chuckle* Who am I? I've always been with you. Do you not remember the day you first turned 10?
Ryo: When I was 10? .... Wait, you don't mean.... *looks at his weapon* you're my scythe? Irkalla?
Irkalla: That's right.
Ryo: Wait a minute, then.... does this mean that all those stories my grandparents told me about you.... they're true?!
Irkalla: Correct.
Sentaro: *charges at Ryo, strikes him*
Ryo: *blocks the attack* But that's impossible! Those stories are nothing more than fairy tales.
Irkalla: How about I prove to you my power? Have a taste of the wonderful power of darkness.
Ryo: Huh? *dark aura from his scythe begins to engulf him* AAAHHH!!! *collapses to the ground*
Nero: *sees Ryo collapse, goes to him* Ryo-san! Are you okay?
Ryo: *stands up slowly* Yes, I'm all right. In fact... *he turns to Nero, he had pure black eyes with blood streaming down his eyes, and a hole in the center of his chest, blood was streaming down from the hole* I've never felt better. *laughs evily*
Nero: *terrified* R-R-Ryo-san?
