It's about toothpaste, really. See, people made this big step forward in flavoring toothpaste with fruit, candy or mint, but here's the thing: Why stop there? Why isn't there steak toothpaste, or fried fish toothpaste, or ham-and-cheese toothpaste? I, for one, would love to see some more chicken content in our bathroom. And I am not counting Frank, the steadily-melting rubber chicken of the gleeful and glum. Nor am I counting Jack, the cat that fears air. Why is a chicken considered to be afraid of everything, anyway? I mean, why just chickens and "scaredy cats"? Why not Fearful Camels, or Mortified Goldfish? If there's any animal that I can think of that's afraid of a lot, after all, is a goldfish. When I think "fear", my mind does not automatically go "CHICKEN!!!", but is that just because I'm special?
