Saturday, June 27
After a good night's sleep, we woke up to go down to the local "Oceans: Pool Bar & Grille" for a breakfast. Turns out, "Oceans" was rated number one in terms of both food and service at the condo. I couldn't agree more: delectable bacon, cooked to perfection; fresh, juicy fruit from the main island of Hawaii itself; freshly squeezed juice straight from the fruit and squeezed right in front of you.
Feeling like pigs, my family and I rolled back (jk... we walked) to the condo to make a quick change into our swimsuits again. We spent the next few hours on the beach swimming. I, however, got extremely bored of simply waiting for a good wave to come and decided to go in. Unfortunately, so did a seven-foot wave. I frantically tried to swim out to meet the wave instead of getting crushed in the curl, but the wave was faster than me and I ended up in the curl. Right where I didn't want to be.
When I finally crawled up to the shore, I had a pretty big gash on my forehead, my back was tweaked, and my ankle was throbbing. I hobbled up to my mom and spent the rest of the day on the beach. My mom was extremely concerned, so of course she decides to embarrass me by bringing a DOCTOR down to the beach! The doc. asked some questions then gave me some Tylenol and a Neosporin pack and told me to stay out of the surf for a little.
I took his words to mean that I should stay out period for the rest fo the day, so I did. To entertain myself, I dug a hole in the sand. My hole managed to reach a very deep 4 and a half feet. I would've dug more, but by the time I got that deep we had to go to dinner. After dinner, we decided to go shopping at a place called Whaler's Village until our friends we were splitting our condo with came. Three shops and one hour later, our friends called us to let us know that they were at the airport and heading to the condo.
We partied hard that night and slept like rocks.
