Ravi looked over at her as he unlocked the apartment door. "Did you enjoy yourself?" he asked.
"For the most part, did I make it more enjoyable for you?" she hadn't told him about her little cat fight.
"Yes. Christen stayed away from me."
"Who is she?" Emi asked politely as she sat to remove her shoes. "Did I meet her?"
"I doubt it. She's a pampered little child with an ego three times bigger than the moon." he told her, loosening and removing his bow tie.
"Blond, wearing a top she was about to fall out of?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"Most likely," he said with a grimace of distaste.
"I met her." Emi said with obvious distaste in her voice as well.
"I am sorry. What did she do?"
"In a nutshell, said you were hers, that I couldn't have you, called me old then got mad when I fought back." she said, then realized what she said and added hurriedly, "Not that I was trying to get you... because I wasn't.... I mean, I'm grateful for what you do for us, but I don't want you.... you’re a nice guy and all, but...." she stopped realizing she was digging herself deeper and all to explain that she thought he was nice but didn't feel anything for him, and she probably hadn't needed to explain at all.
Ravi blinked at her. "Al..right..."
"I'm sorry, I must be tired..." she said looking down and blushing.
"He shook his head. "It is not a problem. Those parties are always exhausting. I will see you in the morning," he added, heading to his room.
She nodded and smiled as he left before deciding she'd sleep in his spare bed rather then the couch tonight and moved to the bedroom, shut the door most of the way and started taking off her clothing and jewelry, she hesitated before letting her hair down, it seems such a shame to ruin her hair which had looked so beautiful. She laid down on the bed in her PJ's and thought about the night and all that had happened, a small thought bubble that said she liked Ravi popped into her head but she quickly popped it.
