Blistering, the sun pounds down on the dry cracked surface of Shimmering Flats. The bleached, white sand glimmered in the heat. Carefully proceeding in the open space, slowly lifting her paws to keep from being burned, Sandlilly prowls the Flats. Minutes pass before she must rest her blistered paws.
With a gleam of a green flash, Sandlilly forms back into her normal Tauren shape. More resilient than her fragile lion shape, she sits carefully next to the surrounding mountains edge. As she sits she pulls out her bag, rustling through it she searches for her Sweet Nectar. In rapture she finds a bottle and happily drinks it down. After drinking the bottle she places it back into her bag to be refilled at a later time. Solemnly she looks down at her hoofs, cracked and dry from being in the harsh elements for so long. With a heavy sigh she stands up and taps her foot on the ground. After a few clicks she smiles and other foot. Nodding in satisfaction she begins walking gently playing with her mid length ponytails. AS she walks she looks around the completely flat area observing carefully the creatures around her. With a glance she sees in the distance what seemed to be a tent. Focusing intently on the object in the distance she completely losses her focus on everything else around her. Suddenly a huge gust of wind and heat flies past her in a blur; followed by the loud clanking and rattling of the Goblin rocket car that had nearly flattened her. Holding the hair from her mane back from her face she looks on at the rocket car as it sways recklessly. Instantly Sandlilly’s eyes begin burning terribly from the stirred up sand, flung into the air by the rocket car. She winces slightly as she rubs her eyes gently with a rag she had on her belt. Snorting justly at the rocket car, she continues walking towards the tent in the distance.
Walking slowly to admire the beauty of the Shimmering Flats, she keeps one hand steady on the mace at her side.She slowly wanders past a group of Tortoise. Their shells bleached like the ground they wandered on Sandlilly smiles as the tortoise somewhat waddle past her. One stops in front of her and looks up blinking in wonder at this strange new creature in its path. Lilly smiles and places her hand on its head. Seconds later she disconnects with the tortoise and continues on her way. Adjusting the bag at her side she looks up at the sun shielding her eyes and lets out a slight sigh as she comes up on the small encampment. Looking around she smiles as she sees the tiny gnomes and goblins working and tinkering with their rocket cars. She notices that one dwarf seems to be troubled and looking for something, figuring it is important Lilly walks over and without saying a word the gruff little dwarf stares up at her with an odd look in his eyes.
“Aye!...You there…would ya like ta help an ol’e dwarf out?...” The dwarf squints one eye as he grins up at Sandlilly. Before she can even open her mouth the dwarf begins barking orders to her. “Now then….I’m gunna need ya ta go out inta the flats ya see….I’ve lost me rocket car parts and I be needin ya ta get em back for me…about thirty should do...right then…if ya be bringin em back in a timely manner an such I’ll be givin ya three gold…ow’s that?....AH I thought so….I’ll also give ya so much experience…..dependin on when ya get it back ear. Now…off with ya…..” Quickly the dwarf runs off avoiding conversation.
Sandlilly watches as the dwarf runs off and she shrugs and takes off to collect the items.
