Cold winds blow,
Greyed clouds roll,
Rain beckons,
Cotton falls,
and yet...
I'm in my coat,
And my heart feels no warmth
And my tears don't freeze
Or mix with the ice on his shoulders.
I tried to talk,
He kept walking,
And no matter what i said,
he just kept walking!
My mind is spinning,
My hands are numb,
My breath is slowing,
and still...
I cannot escape the pain.
Why do you keep walking,
While i have fallen to the ground?
And why won't you turn back,
Or tell someone else to help?
Are you so cold hearted?
Or am i such a trouble
That not even another can care.
You can't drag everyone down
Over some silly grudge.
Don't you see what you're doing?
Or does that not matter either?
Are you blind?!
Or maybe just stupid.
Can you not see me standing here,
waiting for you to show up,
day after day?!
You blind, cold hearted bat.
You ugly stupid raccoon.
You stole my heart and broke it.
Have you ever had your heart ripped out,
torn into pieces,
stepped on,
sewn together,
and put back?
It Hurts.
More than the cold can numb,
or drugs can hide,
or a smile can cover.
And that's what you brought to me
When you told me you loved me,
Then left me alone.
I still feel your touch,
and, oh, how i miss it,
And i still want you here,
just like before.
On this same day,
Though it had rained in the sun,
Now is replaced with this snow
but a year later.
The darkness is still here,
with me,
the one you once held dear,
In this place you once promised me yourself.
I didn't know forever was only a few months,
I thought it was much longer.
But then again,
Who am i to decide,
When every moment spent with you
Feels like it could never end.
Love is like a river.
It starts within a pool,
Flows toward something bigger,
Joins the sea,
Takes you high into the air
And drops you face first back to the hard ground.
That's how i can see
You can no longer smile at me.
I might try and wave
But you don't even nod.
So leave me be
And let me just say,
Maybe you could love me another day?
