This is just a peice of the remake of my original fan-fic I started writing 2 years ago in the 8th grade. There is an entire first part which I am still rewriting because I thought I should change the story's beginning from something that has this "She looked over at her best friend. Though they met as children in the castle courtyard, the boy looked much, much younger than she did.......The boy took the baby's right hand with his to give her the untreturnable gift..." to something more like this "The woman embraces her child and the baby goo-gooed a little. "It's too soon for your to you to receive this, but there's no time to wait." The woman only touched the baby's right hand with hers and there was a smal;l but powerful golden glow."
Well doesn't the second one sound much better? I think so.
And now for the first few chapters of the remake of the beginning and if you all read this, and know what this fan-fic is about and based off of, pm me and if you're right, I'll give yew a big hug and a giant sticker that says "good job!" on it lol. o-o Ok heres the part of the fan-fic. Also, excuse my writing skills for I think that they suck sometimes xDD
-intro-
It is the late afternoon. The sun set lit in an exuberant orange light overlooking a village visible from atop a hill. There, a woman holding her child stood there trying not to cry. “I just know something is going to happen,” said the woman. She stared down at the village then looked at her baby girl. “I know this will be hard, but I have no choice but to send you to another place to protect you.”
The woman embraces her child and the baby goo-goo’ed a little. “It’s still too soon for you to receive this, but there is no time to wait.” The woman only touched the baby’s right hand with hers and there was a small, but powerful golden glow. She swung her arm over unleashing light magic and a vortex appeared.
After entering the vortex, the woman and her baby were now standing on the porch of a home. She calmed the baby to sleep and placed it on the soft mat in front of the door with a note. She knocked on the door and immediately left through the vortex. A couple desperately wanting a child of their own, opens the door and sees the baby. The man picks up the baby and hands it to his wife and the take the baby in as their first child.
-Chapter 1-
“Ugh…” there was a sigh in the quiet morning. The quiet was broken by an alarm going off. “Linda!” there was a shout shortly after, “Linda! Wake up!” Linda, age 16, sat up and rubbed her eyes, “Okay Mom,” she said sleepily. Her mother closed the door and Linda go dressed for her first day of her second year at school. Linda walks out of the bathroom and sits at the table and starts eating her breakfast. She notices her ten-year-old brother Asher smiling more than usual. “Glad to see you’re happy for school,” she said to him. “Just one more year and I get to go to the middle school so I get to be a big kid!” Linda pats Asher’s head, “Okay Mister ‘Big Kid’,” then she stood up and got her backpack.
“Mom I’m going to the stop now.” “I can drive you to school if you want.” “No it’s ok. I’m meeting up with Oceanna.” “Okay, then have a great day!”
Linda runs down the street to the bus stop where Oceanna waited. “Hey.” Linda stood there for a minute to catch her breath and she dropped her heavy backpack. “I think this year is going to be a better year,” Linda finally said. “Yeah now that we’re not freshmen, the name-calling would be easier on you,” Oceanna replied. Linda smiled, “I’m hoping there won’t be any name-calling.”
Linda and Oceanna have been friends since the 7th grade. For the most part, they almost looked the same. They both had short, light brown hair and blue eyes. They were practically the same inside and out. Well, almost out. The only difference was Linda’s ears. Oceanna’s ears were short and round like everyone else’s in the world. Linda’s ears, however, were long and pointed like an elf which is very unique compared to everyone else. This was one of the reasons why Linda was teased at school. Mostly by a boy with black hair and brown eyes named Chase.
The bus draws closer and stops to pick up Linda and Oceanna. They take their steps onto the bus which suddenly grew silent. As Linda and Oceanna made their way to an empty seat, everyone was staring. Linda suddenly felt uncomfortable and even more so as the bus travels closer to the school.
Oceanna pushed their way through the crowed into the lunchroom to pick up their schedules. They both applied for a couple of classes they wanted to take together the year before, but Oceanna didn’t get any of those classes, while Linda did. At least they both got English 2 together.
They both walk into the noisy classroom which had suddenly grown silent just like the bus. Now everyone started whispering loudly and some one called out, “hey Linda, you look nice today.” Linda heard it well but everyone was dead quiet and looking at her. She even noticed Chase’s stare from the back of the room.
-Chapter 2-
A gentle wind blows and the leaves of the trees sway in the dark clear sky. Linda suddenly wakes up with a deep feeing in her gut. This feeling was screaming and telling her something is wrong. She got up and put on her favorite boots and slowly opened her bedroom door. The living room light was on and Linda’s father was sitting on the couch with a shotgun in hand.
She was about to ask what was going on when some one busts the front door open. A dark shadow stood in the doorway and Linda was too scared to move. “Linda!” her father shouted, “Remember what I told you to do!” He cocked the shotgun and Linda ran to her room and climbed out the window to run for the neighbor’s place to call the police.
Her father was still trying to hold off the intruder and he fires a warning shot. The intruder leaves the doorway while Linda was still outside running to the neighbor’s house. “That’s right you better get the hell out of here!!” she heard her father yell. Still she kept running for the neighbor’s house just to be safe.
Linda gets closer to the neighbor’s house. She trips on a rock which was disguised by the darkness outside and hits her head on a tree branch hanging out to her right side. Linda lays there feeling dizzy, trying to pull herself together. She feels like she’s floating as she was being carried off before passing out.
Congradulations Hylia Gale for getting the theme right. Lmfao. -Gives her a hug and a happy sticker that says "Good Job!" on it-
And now for the rest of Part 1! And this is the part where it is all slapped into your face [the theme that is lmao]
~Chapter 3~
Linda wakes to the sound of chirping birds from outside. It was bright outside Linda noticed while she examined the area around her. She was lying on the soft tall grass with a blanket spread over her legs. She looks over and sees a boy, about 16 or 17 years old. He was blonde and had the same ears as Linda's; long and pointed and with him, he had a sword and shield.
In the field of tall grass, it seemed peaceful. Linda couldn't believe her eyes. She slapped herself to see if she was dreaming. It was real. The boy looked over at Linda, "What are you doing?" Linda froze for a moment and just stared, very frightened. "Never mind," he said, "Glad to see you're okay." Linda was silent. "Where... where am I?" she asked quietly.
A calm wind blew and it was silent. The young boy stood and approached Linda. He examined her appearance. Linda noticed that the boy had blue eyes. "hmm... I don't get it," he said,” You look just like her." Linda stared at him, "Look like who?" She spoke louder. The boy smiled, "Never mind, I was only talking of the Princess. Or Queen, as I've heard around lately..." His smile depleted and it was silent once again.
Linda's attention grew to the horse with smooth brown fur and a beautiful white mane. "Well, if some one's after you, might as well get you to the castle," the boy said. He took his green hat and put it on his head, then stood and approached the horse, He looked back at Linda, "By the way," he started to say, "My name is Link." Linda stood up and walked over slowly, "Oh. I'm Linda...” she said shyly. The boy mounds on the horse. He held his hand out to Linda, "Get on," he told her. Linda just looked at him, then his hand. She climbs onto the horse. "Hang on tight," the boy said, "We're gonna try to get to the castle fast."
~Chapter 4~
Oceanna walked over to the bulletin board at the local gas station. She put a flier stating Linda’s disappearance. "So, the freak-girl is missing?" A girl about 17 giggled. Oceanna stared at her, "Shut up Celina." Celina made a snooty face and walked off with her puppets, Crystal and Alice. Over by the store entrance, Chase stood there looking at the board from a distance. Oceanna stared at Chase like she did Celina and turned. She took Asher by the hand and walked off.
"Are we going to find my sister soon?" Asher asked. Oceanna was quiet for a moment then answered, "Yeah, we're going to find her, but not now. We've done all we could today." Asher looked away sadly and started to cry. "She was gonna tell me how to be a big kid," he blubbered. Oceanna hugged little Asher. "It's going to be okay."
It has been a few hours after taking Asher home. Oceanna sits in her bed dressed in a light blue night gown reading a book she got for her birthday from Linda. She stops reading to the strange noises outside. Oceanna walks over to the window and looks out. At first glance, she sees the branches of a tree move, the only thing moving in the still night.
She walks back to her bed and continues reading. Oceanna's window opens suddenly. A shadowy figure intrudes into her room. Oceanna was terrified, but when she had a look at the shadow, she realized that it matched Linda’s father's description of the intruder the night Linda disappeared.
Now, Oceanna's fear turned into rage. She took the book she was reading and threw it at the shadow. The shadow cast some sort of magic to defend against the book and it catches fire. Oceanna's anger turned back into panic and she passes out. Five minutes later, Oceanna's parents were awakened by the commotion and entered their daughter's room to take care of the problem. Their attempt was in vein, the room was an empty mess with the window left wide open.
~Chapter 5~
The sky was clear; the sun's brightness was dull. Alone, Linda seemed to be the only living thing in the still field. The sound of horse hooves drew in louder as if they were passing by. Linda looks up, dark clouds quickly rolls across the sky. She feels fear deep inside.
Three rays of colorful light shoot down from the heavens. One was green and it immediately took the shape of a girl about 16 with short hair. The other was read and it also took the form of a girl with short hair but slightly longer than the green girl. The third light was blue and it formed into a boy Linda found familiar. Together, the three beings raised their arms and power shoots to one location in the air. Linda's right hand starts glowing. The glow completely engulfed her.
"Linda," Link said trying to wake her. She starred at the sky and sight with relief. Link also looked up at the clear blue sky, and then looked back at Linda, "Is something wrong?" Linda shook her head a little, "It's nothing. I'm fine." "We should get going now." Link said as he stood up.
Link and Linda finally arrived to the castle town. It was quiet and empty except for a lone woman. She had long brown hair and was dressed in an elegant dress. Too elegant to beleive she was a normal person. She spoke as Link and Linda got closer. "Finally you both arrived," she said in relief. Link looked around at the deserted town then he and Linda dismounted, "So, what's going on here?"
"Something bad is happening." "I see... I guess I’m going to do something about it."
"Wait, what's going on?" Linda was confused, "And who are you?" Link and the woman looked at each other then back at Linda. "My, how you've grown," the woman said softly. "Huh?" Linda was even more confused. The woman smiled, "I am Zelda, Queen of Hyrule." Linda stood there for a moment. She didn’t believe a word, "Right. You're 'the Queen'," she said in a sarcastic tone. Zelda was silent then started to speak, "You, Linda, are truly my daughter; the Princess of Hyrule."
It was suddenly silent and a small wind blew. "Wait, no. No I can't be my mother's is Katherine and we live in Montana." Linda thought for a moment, "Unless... I was adopted..." Zelda nodded sadly, "I only left you on the front porch when you were barely a year old," she said, "I only did so to keep you safe." Linda grew quiet, and then she walked away.
Linda remained alone and silent while Link and Zelda talked. Linda had her true life talked away. She didn't grow up to be the princess she was born to be. Instead, she grew up as an almost-average teenaged American girl living in Montana. Link and Zelda finished talking and Link approached Linda. "Hey," he began which had caught Linda's attention, "You have to listen to this."
"Alright," Zelda said, "Something is going to happen here." That was a statement that was obvious for everyone. Linda had already expected so when she found herself in the middle of Hyrule field and not in her room where she had expected to wake up in. Or even outside under the tree whose branch had knocked her out from before. "There is one way I can possibly think of to fix it." Zelda continued on, "There are three humans from Earth who are destined to be Guardians between Earth and Hyrule with special gifts from the Goddesses Din, Nayru and Farore." "So what, are we supposed to find them?!" Linda said, "That's going to be difficult." Zelda nodded, "Indeed it would be, but lucky for us, the spiritual stones left by the Goddesses themselves are attracted to these Guardians from Earth." Link smiled, "So we'll track them down this way. That sounds easy to me." Linda shook her head, "No, the Earth I know is far too big and even the fastest form of transportation would cost a lot of money." "We can at least try, right?" Link said. "We have to," Linda replied, "So lets get started now."
Zelda gives all three of the stones to Linda. One was green and shined beautifully like the sun through the leaves of tall trees in a forest. The second was red and glowed with flair. The third was blue and glimmered like the sun's reflection on water. "Now you both shall be going," Zelda said. "Don't worry Zelda, we'll find these Guardians," Link said in a reassuring tone. "Be safe and good luck." Zelda uses her light magic to open a vortex to Earth. This was the beginning of Link and Linda's real adventure.
~Chapter 6~
"I'm so glad I’m on Earth again," Linda smiled. Link couldn't help but smile at Linda's happiness. The green stone tugged a little in Linda's hand as it started to glow brighter. "Look!" Link pointed at the stone, "Let's follow it." They follow the tug of the stone through an alley way and then to the side of another street where the stone seemed to draw closer to a girl with short dark hair and orange streaks.
Linda quickly put away the stone and walked up to her. "Hi, my name is Linda," she greeted to the girl, "What's yours?" The girl seemed disturbed and was quiet while examining Linda and her tattered pajamas. "My name is Lilly," She said as she continued to study Linda's appearance. Her attention was then drawn to Linda's ears. "Could you, by any chance, know Oceanna?" Lilly finally asked, "Oceanna tells a lot of her best friend to me who matches your description and has the very same name as you."
Lilly stopped talking then looked at Link who was smiling a little too much, which had scared her a little bit. Then the stone which Linda had been hiding started to fly over to Lilly's hands. "Sweet," Linda said with a smug. Link looked happier than he was a second ago, "Alright, we found a Guardian!"
