My once slip up, mistake.
What would leave me here, wide-awake.
In the midst, of raising you to agree.
To finally stay here with me.
You know how fast I'd give it all?
Clear as lies pinned up on the wall.
Take me home, if you know the way.
But, along the road what would you say?
What's after the steps, if I most suddenly trip?
Would you silence all my questions, with your finger tip?
And ask me instead, the only question we need to ask-
To finish this heartbreaking un-needed but wanted task?
Why would we spend our time alone?
If it only takes two to break a wishing bone.
What other side can you show me, if I hadn't already guessed.
Slowly, but surely, I'm quickly obsessed.
With-out a doubt in the world, you've been in my head.
With-out a self-contradiction, I let you spread.
Your only good, for what I make you.
No matter how much, I want to.
Did it spot a light, in your thoughts, I could've changed alot?
Maybe I would've engraved it in you, if we hadn't purposely forgot.
Take me inside you, so I become apart of your breath.
If we ever should've said what we meant, our words could've defied death.
I would admit, I am getting greedy here. Can I re-phrase?
And tell you, I had never forgotten our special days.
Out of all the memories I wish I could re-call.
You've got me tied into our homemade enthral.
I would've asked you 'what's that your thinking'
And you would have tied me into an unfinished sentence to leave me sinking.
If I hadn't already grown immune to your straight forward ways.
What's left to these deleterious- Selfish of our own days?
I'd like to stay here, because we're both at our increasing fears.
Our un-fulfillment to both our un-shed tears.
Look away, I hate for you to look like you really know what I am.
Hurt each other like we just don't give a damn.
But we do.
We've got the right idea, lets make our way.
Change up the scenery for some fateful day.
You being the intriguing indifference on the bottle cap lid.
And I'm just chemicals on a broken hearted kid.
Let's commence.
You take the stapler, and turn the desktop on.
And pull out our thoughts and lay them upon.
Keeping it constant, like a peddle on a drum.
Keep spitting our most inner feelings until were numb.
With a couple of clicks we've got it started for a new chore.
And while you make the rest of the options, I'll open the door.
As it finely prints out our life letter by letter.
Seeing as it mentions more of what we remember, it starts to get better.
As it finally spits out the last of our thoughts and events, our smiles shine bright.
As I picked up our profound paper of our simplistic lives, something was not quite right.
I skimmed through all of it, and I held myself in time per se to some hurtful ache.
I couldn't find you, just some
'unconventional mistake'.
