school production
This year our school play is called run rabbit run and is better than ever!
We got the results back today of who made it through auditions and I am am playing a land girl called Edna. Cringey name but compared to the others an excellent part.
My other landgirls are my friend sarah Llewelyn (patsy), my sisters friend Rachel Fenning (Ruby), Hollie Rushton (June) + Charlotte Champion (Tilly).
My sister Megan is a clumsy evacue called Peggy.
My friend Emily is the mother whose husband goes off to war.
Jasmine Percival is the farmers wife.
My friend Lydia Swallow, Becky Martin and sarahs sister Anna are all chorus singers/dancers.
My parts bigger than all offf them!!!!! biggrin
HOWEVER
My best friend Mopsy DID NOT get a part! None of us could figure out why because shes about as good an actress as me andI got a pretty good part! We all assumed it was because she was in last years and they wanted to give someone else a chance but it still didn't seem right.
THEN
When we were recieving our scripts Mr Calvert let on that It was because she was to disorganised.
He was talking about rehearsals and he said how much he HATED it when you don't turn up for rehearsals, then he mentioned Mopsys name, how disorganised she was, how many rehearsals she missed (I'm not gonna stick up for her she was utterly useless!!) and we had our answer!
She was really upset and was even crying because she didn't get in. She wants to be an actress when shes older and the fact that how utterly uselessly disorganised she is could deeply affect that!
I don't think it was fair though because no matter how hard she worked on that audition script she wasn't gonna get a part from the start no matter how good she was or how hard she tried!
I would really like your comments on this!
