Yesterday, my parents decided to have a last Sunday family outing with me before I moved out (5 days...*is starting to get a wee bit nervous*).
We went to Venice Beach. Now, anyone who is unfamiliar with California cultural hotspots, this is the beach where all the freaks in string thongs (Who aren't female) Homeless people talking to themselves and doing wierd tricks to earn money, and general pot-smoking hippies migrate.
We walked along the boardwalk, seeing the sights, staring at the people and comical te-shirts for sale, and I generally had a good time. I had my picture drawn for money, and I must say it came out remarkably well. I'll post it once I have my camera back. I think it's going alongside my Gaia commissions in my signature.
Pretty much, though, there weren't too many freaks that I saw. Apperantly, they all left once the first traces of cool weather came in. It's fine, though, as I started getting claustraphobic just being around the minor fall and winter crowd.
