(some of you know some s**t went down last night, so here's the dirt to catch everyone up xd )
My hubby, Charles, was driving the humvee back from the shooting range last night. Another soldier, hereafter referred to as Jackass, was sitting directly behind him. Jackass kept pestering Charles to speed up, but they were on a dirt road at night behind another vehicle and Charles couldn't see the whole front of his own humvee so he was going like 20 miles an hour to be safe.
So Jackass then proceeded to hit Charles in the back of the head. Charles said knock it off, I won't speed up. Jackass hit him again, and Charles said "We've already been over this, if you hit me again, I'm going to throw your a** across the hood of this humvee"
So Jackass proceeded to punch Charles in the back of the head (a real, full punch) while he was driving! Charles pulled the humvee over, got out, opened Jackass's door, pulled him out by his body armor and flung him over the hood of the humvee just like he said he would.
Jackass then came flying at Charles and punched him in the head as hard as he could. Problem is, Charles had his helmet on, so it didn't hurt him at all and Jackass broke his own hand, badly. Charles then knocked him down and pinned him a minute, got up and went to get back in the truck. (assuming it was over and the point was made)
Jackass proceeds to get up and use his other hand to punch my husband in the back. O.O Again, Charles had on his body armor, again Jackass quite badly broke his other hand. Then he tried to kick Charles. Charles did years and years of kickboxing as a kid (I've seen the trophys), so he blocked it easily, kicked Jackass hard in the knee and dropped him again.
Once again my husband tried to walk away and have it be over. Jackass made it clear as he struggled to get up, he wasn't going to stop, so Charles removed his kevlar helmet to be prepared and to have better visiblity.
Jackass came at Charles again, this time apparently trying to use his elbow since one knee and both fists were broken, and Charles swung to punch him in the face.
In the heat of the moment, he still had his kevlar helmet in his hands, and he essentially smashed it right into Jackass's face.
Jackass was knocked out cold, had some immediate convulsions and has a horrific concusion. He's still in the hospital.
No, hubby isn't in trouble. He tried multiple times to end the fight, and he also fairly warned the guy to begin with, so ...
