I finally got around to making an entry about the new Final Fantasy IV remake for the Nintendo DS. I've been very busy lately, so time has been sparse. Instead of rambling on about the finer details of the game, I've decided to put together a small list of things I want to note about the game. I'm feelin' a bit lazy, and I don't wanna type very much right now. That's the main reason. Okay! Here we go!
Voice Acting/Graphics: Obviously, the new graphics and voice overs are really something if you've played the original. Seeing the world of FFIV in full 3D is awesome! Voice acting is really good too. They got some well known actors to do the voices. If you're an anime buff, you should be able to recognize some of them. Most notably, Cecil. His VA is everywhere these days!
Music: The music is still the same. That's a good thing in my opinion! Most of the songs sound a bit different, but it's because they were remade with DS technology. Some of them sound even better than before. Especially the music you hear while in Troia and the Overworld Map theme.
No More Buying Arrows!: Thank goodness someone decided to change that! In the original, Rosa used arrows, which you have to buy more of when she used them in battle. It got a bit expensive, and kind of annoying when you have to go through long dungeons. Now, you only need to buy one type of arrow! So, no more 99 holy arrows! You just buy one, and that's all. Seriously, the guy who thought of that needs a freshly baked cookie!
That's about it so far. I can't really think of anything else. I'm not very far into the game. I went and picked my copy up at Gamestop, but I haven't had a chance to get into it. I should be able to soon, though.
