Heartbound Memories
Chapter 23
Elena arrived, enraged after seeing Sentaro getting bitten by Eurydice. She began firing a flurry of arrows at Eurydice.
Elena: *firing arrows with her bow Celeste* You'll pay for that!
Eurydice: *dodges all her arrows* You got some nerve showing your face, traitor!
Edward: Who's the demon?
Bella: That's Elena, she's an Immortal, but don't worry, she's on our side.
Eurydice: You b***h! *stops, senses something* Damn... My master calls. I'll deal with you later. *disappears into the darkness*
Elena: Come back here! Damn!
Bella: Sentaro, wake up! Wake up!
Edward: He's unconscious.
Bella: What're we gonna do? If we don't do something soon, he's gonna turn into a vampire.
Elena: Don't worry. *carries Sentaro on her back* I know someone who can help. Follow me. *runs off*
Bella: *nods* Okay. *follows Elena along with Edward*
While Elena was taking Sentaro to safety, Kitty was on her own, looking for Chita.
Kitty: *looks up at the sky* Chita, remember all those times we used to play in the forest near the village? Those were fun times. Also, remember the first time we met Sentaro and Ryo? They didn't like us at first, but after a week, they became our bestest friends. We had so many wonderful memories. But then that night, it all changed. My life had never been the same. All I want is for you to be back in our lives, so we can be a family again. Me and my friends won't stop until we find you and take you home. Oh blessed gods, please look after my friends. I don't want to lose any of them. Please... please... *runs off*
Meanwhile, Ryo and Chita's battle continues.
Chita: Take this! *stomps the ground, summons vines, they wrap around Ryo's legs*
Ryo: Heh, is that all you got? *grabs the vines, they burst into flames* Looks like I have the elemental advantage.
Chita: Don't get cocky. I will win this battle! *charges at him, punches his face*
Ryo: OW! Stop being an idiot! Come back home, Kitty misses you.
Chita: Don't ever say that name! *kicks his stomach*
Ryo: *grabs her foot, tosses her*
Chita: *smashes into a tree* OW!
Ryo: Looks like I'll have to knock some sense into you.
Chita: Why you...!
Nero: Guys, stop fighting! You two are supposed to be friends!
Luke: *grabs his arm with his mouth, whimpers*
Nero: But Luke, we gotta stop this. If we don't, one or both of them might end up dead.
Luke: *barks*
Nero: Are you saying everything's gonna be okay and we should let them battle?
Luke: *nods*
Nero: Well okay... C'mon Ryo-san, show Chita-san how much we want her home.
Chita: Let's see if you can escape from this. *summons cacti, forming a cage around him*
Ryo: Pfft! Are you kidding? Piece of cake! *slices the cactus with his scythe Irkalla, water splashes down at him, soaking him* What the-?!
Chita: Guess you haven't paid attention in science class. Cactus plants store water. I knew you were gonna slice them open to free yourself. Now that you're all wet, you can't use your fire attacks.
Ryo: Crap!
Chita: Now you can't escape from my plants. *summons vines, sends them after him*
Ryo: *jumps away, dodging the vine attacks*
Chita: I not only can summon plants, I can also control them. *her hand glows a green aura, places it on a tree, one of it's branches moved, hitting Ryo on the back*
Ryo: GAH! *falls to the ground* Ow, that smarts.
Chita: Normally, I don't like hurting my former friends, but it's the only way to prove my point to this idiot. *takes out her gun Kurokiba* One shot in the leg will stop this match. *aims at Ryo's leg*
Nero: *gasps* Chita, no! Don't shoot Ryo!
Chita: It's over. *shoots*
Ryo: *disappears*
Chita: *shocked* What the hell?!
Ryo: *reappears behind her* Nyah nyah! ;p
Chita: I-I... missed?
Ryo: Looks like it.
Nero: Phew! He's okay.
Chita: B-But.... I never miss.
Ryo: There's always a first for everything. by the way, fire isn't the only element I can use. *summons a boulder, sends it to Chita*
Chita: *gasps, summons vines, they catch the boulder*
Ryo: I wouldn't look back if I were you.
Chita: What?! *looks behind, boulder comes and slams her*
Ryo: Told you not to look. *punches the ground, stalagtites come out of the ground forming a cage around Chita*
Chita: Hey! Let me out!
Nero: Way to go, Ryo-san!
Chita: Get me out of this thing, right now!
Ryo: Not a chance.
Chita: *points the gun on his head* Get me out or I'll blow your brains out!
Ryo: *knocks the gun off her hand*
Chita: Kurokiba!
Ryo: You're not getting out until you hear the whole truth about what really happened that night.
Chita: ..... Fine, I'm listening.
While Ryo was explaining to Chita about that night, Elena, Bella and Edward took Sentaro to a nearby hospital, so he can recover from his injuries. Since the way a psychic uses his powers is with their eyes, Sentaro was blindfolded, in case he hasn't had complete control of his powers yet. He was in bed in a hospital room. Elena, Bella and Edward were in the room, hoping for him to recover.
Sentaro: *waking up* Where am I?
Bella: You're in the hospital. Elena came and saved you.
Sentaro: Elena?
Elena: I'm here. *sits beside him* You okay?
Sentaro: Yea... But wait, didn't she bit me? Why haven't I transformed?
Edward: A friend of Elena's came and sucked all the venom out of your system.
Sentaro: What? Who?
Luthor: *by the door* That would be me, my old friend. I removed all the venom.
Sentaro: Luthor?... Heh, it's nice to hear a familiar voice.
Luthor: *smiles* It's nice to be remembered. So, how's your recovery going?
Sentaro: It's going good. But I can't stay here. *sits up*
Elena: Sentaro, you're not fully recovered. You must rest.
Sentaro: Not now. There's still something I must do.
